Have a Manly Man question, no women allowed on this thread !

:teeth: I peeked.

NC B. has 2 bbq grills at the moment. The Weber kettle is on its last legs so we got a bbq/smoker last fall.

 No comments on the man card issues. NC B. is allowed to choose his beer amounts and grill size.

:lmao: :rotfl: I missed the k and thought you said I PEED!!! I thought you piddled when you laughed :lmao:

I made sure to spell check when I post too early (or late).

The snow is building up on our grills. We are going to have to shovel in a 4 hours....well, dh will.

The bigger the better. I have a large webber gas that I love but I am saving for a Big Green Egg. I have had food out of them a couple of times and it is fantastic if you can get that.

If I had my dream choice Drake it would nothing less than a Dave Klose pit. Perfect for a DIS meet.

This post is useless without pics !!!!

BTW, why wouldnt you use the same oil. We reuse the oil from a Turkey fry a couple of times? Just wondering?

One rule of thumb with frying is never to fry seafood in the same oil as anything else. You end up with a not-so-good fish flavor on all your food.

For the okra, it might be nice to avoid contamination from meat, especially if you want to appeal to vegetarians.

who would ever want to appeal to vegetarians....another man card violation!

I admit it - I peeked. :rolleyes1

And I must say, it isn't the size of the grill but what the man does with the grill that is important. :goodvibes ;)

Yeah I peaked too temping not to.
I have to agree with Tonya2426.
You can't say it any better than that. :thumbsup2

I agree that it is not necessarily the pit the matters, but the amount of beer that you chug and how much fun you have while you're at it.:)

You can keep you man card and drink alot of beer while smoking a turkey breast or pork roast on the Chargrill Grill, BBQ and smoker while using the side smoke box to cook. :thumbsup2

I saw a nice 24" diameter pitt today at the store, but.....

you cook with an electrical element, not propane or charcoal.....

Please forgive me for considering this Godfather.

You might still get to call your bbq Texas bbq if you use charcoal or (alternately) propane with a smoker box, but electrical....:scared1:

You need to consider power loss. That could really crash you party (and not in a good way) if you decide to go electrical.

Sorry - I peeked too :rolleyes1

How could I not...or any of the women for that matter...(come on you know you all checked it out- be honest) :surfweb:

Sorry no pics of the food. All eaten.

Oyster flavored okra sounds disgusting. Do you want to eat oyster flavored turkey?

The guys on the other website I hang out on who got the Green Egg really really really like it. They said to shop for price since there was a good difference in prices from dealer to dealer.

Later,
Dan

There is nothing about oysters that sounds good.

The Green Egg, charcoal only? Also, I am broke, if it is expensive I am SOL.
