Hello, I am new here :)

Have a few questions, because I will be going to the theme parks in Orlando this August part of a Senior Trip :)

Here are my questions

1)Will IOA,Disneyworld,MGM parks be crowded during the 1st week of August?
2)What are the best rides to ride? I ride mostly roller coasters enjoy them the most

Welcome to the Dis!!! Yes, you bet they parks will be crowded, very crowded in fact. If you love roller coasters you're in for a great time. Rock n Roller Coaster (RnRc) is a favorite. But don't forget Tower of Terror (ToT). Have a great time and don't worry about the crowdes :firefight

Great.....so a day of burning up and not being able to ride but like 4 rides :(
Like it was @ SFOG a few years ago

Yes, August is hot and crowded, but fun. RNR is the coaster to ride for the biggest thrill at WDW. You have others like Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and not a roller coaster is Test Track. You will probably enjoy all of these. Don't miss the Tower of Terror. Use Fastpass to help with the crowds and the wait times.

I'm sorry if I made it sound bad, I really didn't mean too. It's hot but also a great place to be. The best thing you can do is stay on these boards and keep reading. You'll learn so much information, you'll surprise yourself when you get there.

Nah, that's fine :) I don't mind the hot at all, I love the hot weather.
Only thing I hated hearing that it is going to be SUPER crowded, I just hope I have enough time to ride everything :)

My family has been going at the end of August for the past 3 years and it has not been that crowded. By then the south is back in school. As for the heat and humidity, yeah it can be bad. But after a while we got used to it. I always feel bad for the "characters" in those costumes. No wonder they are only out for 20 mintues. :sunny:

the last week until this year and it will be the 3rd week. You are young and probably have lots more patience than I, so I'm sure you will be fine. It is awfully hot but what gets me is the humidity...it's horrible. With that being said, we deal with it and keep thinking...we are in Disney. This year will probably be a different trip for us as I have foot issues and I don't walk as fast. Also, the heat/humidity combined with hot flashes will be just a delight! Anyway, relax and enjoy it.... :goodvibes

I wrote my post kind of quickly...I was in the process of having to shut my laptop down. I noticed your username and the Ozzfest 2005. Not sure if you listen to Alice Cooper, but if you make it by the All Star Music Resort there is a picture of him on the wall in the main building while he was at WDW. I thought that was pretty cool growing up listening to the Coop and seeing his picture somewhere at WDW. I would think they should have a picture of Ozzy and Alice each with Miss Piggy somewhere since they both appeared on the Muppet Show and sang with or to Miss Piggy.

Anyway it should be fun going to WDW on a senior trip in August. My senior class or school in general never did anything that cool.
