Have 527 Days Until Our Vacation, But I Need Some Disney Magic Now!*22 DAYS TO GO!!!!

I am also anxiously waiting to hear what your friend says... Didn't you tell him that your Diser friends are impatient and don't "wait" well? ACK!

So as I promised, I am going to share with you mini TR's of the last two trip to WDW. We will start with our Wish Trip.:thumbsup2

My son Liam was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was 6 years old. Shortly after his diagnosis we went to a CF Confrence where we found out from a MaW represenative that he would be able to make a Wish. Of course his Wish was to go to WDW. None of us had ever been there so we were super excited to go.:thumbsup2

Our Trip was September 13-19, 2009.
We stayed at Give Kids the World.
We had special tickets for MNSSHP
We had one great Dismeet during MNSSHP

So now that you have some basic about the trip, let me introduce you to the Cast of Characters.

First of all there is me. I will not bore you with another picture of little old me, you have already seen enough of them.:rotfl:

Next is the Wish Kid, Liam. He is 9 now, but at the time of our trip he was 7 years old. He loves Star Wars, video games, and playing sports.

th_012-7.jpg

This is a picture of him showing of one of his many Big Gives. Believe it or not that shirt still fits him and he wore it just the other day.:lmao:

Next is Ameliya (Mia for short). She is currently 6 years old but was only 4 at the time. You already know all about her!!!

th_010-4.jpg

This is one of the dresses she got for the big give. Lovely isn't it. Do you notice how short her hair is? LIam had just decided to give her a hair cut, luckily my mom was able to fix it.:thumbsup2

Next comes Aidan. He is now 4, but at the time he had just turned 2. He is the brains of the opperation. He is so smart, but gets bored easily which gets him in trouble. This little boy has actually pushed the screen out of his window and climbed out of the house.:scared1:

th_018-4.jpg

Yes once again this is a pic of an outfit he got from the Big Give. Such wonderful ladies that I am proud to now be a member of.:thumbsup2

There will be no picture of my youngest son Rylan on this trip, though he did come with us. I learned just after we got back from the trip that I was pregnant.:rotfl2:

The last member of our cast is my brother Jason. I don't have a good picture of him for here, but you will see some pictures of him later.

Here is one finale picture of us with our Wish Volunteers just a couple days before our trip.

I loved seeing all of the pictures and all the BG were awesome... How cool that Liam still wears that shirt!

I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.

Well find it girl, I need it now!!!:lmao:

So I have been busy sewing away like a little beaver (Do beaver's sew. :confused3:lmao:) But since I can't show you the complete outfit yet, I thought I would give everybody a little taste. So here is the Lumpy aplique that I just finished.:lovestruc

I loved our Big Gives so much that I had to show off some pictures. I am so glad that I was introduced to the group and can now participate.:cloud9:

Love all the Big Give items. Your kids are adorable.

Thanks Cogero, can you believe that the outfit Aidan has on with the yellow top and shorts with the red stripe were made from towels that she bought at WDW. I even saw the towel when we were at DHS.:)

I love Lumpy

Thanks Congero. I can't wait to finish the outfit so I can show it off. I have the skirt almost finished, now I just have to figure out the top. Hopefully it will be done by this weekend. But that mean I need to sew, which I didn't do at all today.:confused3:

So I forgot to mention this earlier, but me and Mia had a girls night off on Saturday. We went to the mall and walked around. Of course we went to the DO. I got a new Mickey Shirt and Pirate Princess Mickey Ears. Mia bought a Tigger made out of a pastle floral pattern with her own money. We also got Mia a gift card so she can start saving money to spend at the World. I started her off with $5 but told her she needs to be the one earning money (chores) and putting her own money on the card.

We finished up the day by eating dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe. Mia had gotten a card for a FREE kids meal from her school last spring and we haven't been able to use it yet. She had popin' shrimp and I had the mushroom raviolli with Lobster sauce. Sorry no pictures, I actually forgot my Camera in the card.

I also found some great animal print material at Hobby Lobby. I got a pink cheetah and a pink zebra. I am going to make the girls matching skirts and shirst with a mickey head cut out of the material. I am than planning on making me and the other mom T's that match the girls shirts. This will be our outfits for DAK.

Totally loved the previous trip intro! :cloud9: Those Big Give outfits are just precious!

So now with 499 days until the trip, It's time to share with you day one of our trip.:thumbsup2

We were picked up by a Limo early in the morning, but it was 20 minutes late because it got lost. No problem though since we got to the airport in plenty of time. We even recieved a little extra pixie dust as an employee saw our MaW t's and brought us to a counter that had no line.:goodvibes

Soon we were in Florida and on our way to GKTW.:thumbsup2

Here is a picture of all of us in front of our Villa. See I told you my brother would make an apperiance.

000_0001.jpg

So after being shown our villa and me going through orintation, we headed back to the castle of dreams for some fun. It was also a great time for Liam to do his star and the kids to make there pillows.

We than went over to the Gingerbread house and had some dinner and than headed back to the villa to relax a little. There was a Candy Land party planned for that night at Matthew's Playground right across from our Villa, but due to the rain it wasn't going on. But when I called to ask what was going on I was told that it was moved to the Castle of Dreams. So since the rain had finally stopped: Liam, Mia, and I headed that way while my brother stayed back with Aidan so he can go to bed.

We had a great time even though Liam was being shy (which is totally not like him). We got some ice cream and headed back to the Villa for a good nights sleep. We needed it since we were going to DHS the next day.:thumbsup2

Awww... I love your matching Tees... That would make a great siggy pic for you! :)

Looks like you all had a great time on your first day! :)

Hmmmm, might have to figure that out. Should put the Big Give in there at some time as well.:confused3

So our snowless winter is catching up to us. It's been snowing here since about noon.:scared1: Now I definatly need to think of some warm Disney thoughts.:goodvibes

So I have some possible good news, though don't get your hopes us to much guys. I talked to Bill today and he said he doesn't know yet, so I proded and ask which way he was leaning and he told me he was leaning toward taking the trip. He needs to sit down with his Dad and discuss it (his grandfather left him money in his will that goes through his father). He told me he definatly want to get the DDP (so I need to look at some more ADR's) and he was telling me that he was looking at this one resort that is walking distance to shops. At first I thought he meant near DTD but looking at my book I think he meant by the Board Walk.:scared1: Could he mean the Board Walk Inn or Villa. I told him that that resort was much more expensive than what I was thinking and could afford. He told me not to worry about it. He thinks if we go, we might as well go all out.:cool2:

That would be amazing Corri!!!! I would love to stay at any of the Epcot resorts, some day!

D~

I really enjoyed your look back to your first day. I have seen Give Kids the World on a few trip reports and it looks like a great place. I love the Candylane theme, especially the lollipop lady(?). I have never seen that before.

Fingers crossed you get to stay at the Boardwalk. It is one the top of my list of places to stay. It looks like there is so much to do in the area, tons of dining choices and the 2 parks within walking distance.

Love all your pictures and Keeping my fingers crossed for your trip.

Matthew playground has a Candy Land Theme, so they have a Candy Land party at GKTW every week (or at least when we went in 2009. Not sure about now) They also have a Christmas party, a princes/pirate party, and I have heard they do halloween now as well.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for there good thoughts and crossed fingers. We talked briefly this morning. He had dinner with his mom last night who loves the idea and is going to put in a good word with his Dad. He says he is going to talk to his Dad this weekend, so I should know soon. I hope so, because the up to 30% off ends on the 22nd.:confused3

Sounds like he has an amazing plan in the works. I am getting excited for you guys. I will need all your trip reports to keep me in my happy place over the next few months. Hope you get to go!

So on the second day of our Wish Trip we headed to
Disney's Hollywood Studios

I know DHS is not the logical park to go to on your first day at WDW ever, but Liam loves Star Wars and I thought it would make a great start to his Wish Trip.

As soon as we got there we made a bee line down to Star Tours. Liam and my brother rode it as I waited outside with the other kids (never did ride it.:confused3)

P1000320.jpg

While I was waiting for them to come out I talked to a CM about getting Liam into the JTA. (At that time they still choose them from the audience.) At first she was sorry but had no say in who got picked, but after I explained that it was a wish trip and he really loved Star Wars she arranged it with the stage manager for him to get picked.:thumbsup2

Next we went to see the Muppet Movie in which I unfortunatly lost my camera.:sad1:

I don't remember the order of everything, but we ate a very good meal at Sci Fi Drive In. We had some fun playing at the Honey I shrunk the Kids Playground.

We saw the Indiana Jones Show. We got great seats for the Parade.

And we went to the Beauty and the Beast show.

After the show, DHS was starting to close. We than decided to head over to MK and see the Spectromagic Parade because it was the only time we were able to see it and I had my heart set on seeing it. I will never forget how big Aidan't eyes were when he say Mickey Mouse. (His had just started saying Mickey Mouse)

So I just relized that I really hadn't intorduced to you the youngest member to the family. Just because he will not be going on this trip does not mean that he shouldn't make his presence known.:lmao:

His name is Rylan.
155.jpg

As I already said, I found out I was carring him right after we came back from our Wish Trip. He is currently 22 months old and I am supper excited about his 2nd birthday coming up at the beginning of March. (It will only be a couple of days before the trip I hope to make.)

Unfortunatly the pregnancy did not go smoothly as I started bleeding shortly after 2010 started. It got to the point that I was bleeding every evening ans was eventually put on bed rest in the hospital. I had only been in the hospital for about a week when my temp spiked and it was determined that I had an infection. It was than that they decided to take the baby. I was only 26 weeks and 4 days at the time. My little angle was born weighing a mear 2lbs 4oz and just over 1 foot long.

047-1.jpg

He spent 14 weeks in the hospital which was really hard on the family but has been doing great since his return home.

He is small for his age, only weight a little over 21 lbs (how crazy is it that my almost 2 year old still sits in a backward facing car seat). He is developing a little slower than even his corrected age, but is seeing a Developmental Therapist and a Physical Therapist to help him. He will also see a Sight Therapist next Weds because he doesn't tend to look at peoples faces when he looks at them (he does better with me).

Well thats alot to share about my little Rye Rye, hope I didn't bore you to much. Day 3 of our Wish Trip to come next.
