Haunted Room at Pop!!

I have a couple I can add.
While I was dating my DH I would go and see him after I got out of school. (He graduated a year after me, and I was in my freshman year at college during his senior year.) If him and I would have an argument the doors in the other side of the house would start slamming, until we stopped.
After we got engaged and I started my 2nd semester at a school closer to him, I moved into the spare room in their house. I would often wake up to someone tugging on my big toe. I found out later, that anyone that had slept in that room had the same thing happen. My DH's neice use to talk about playing with another child while she stayed there, and she was the only young child there at the time.
In his parent's room, they had a dresser that had a rectangular mirror on the top. His dad would take his belt and loop it over the top. It was not uncommon for it to start swinging from side to side.
Then there were the several times that we saw shadow figures in rooms that no one else was in. One time his sister was visting, so we were sitting up late talking to her. When you walked into the house right in front of you was the back of a fireplace, so they had a couch. Then to your left was the living room area. There was a couch that the back faced the door, and another couch that made a right angle with the 2nd couch. To the right was the dining room, and it was just one big open room. Then walking through the dining area was the kitchen, and there was a door on both sides of the table. If you walked into the kitchen and went right, that was the room I slept in. If you walked into the kitchen and went left, it was the washroom and the door to the basement. Well my now sister in law was sitting on the couch that was by the back of the fireplace. My DH and I were sitting on the couch that's back was to the door, but we were sitting on our knees facing her and the kitchen and my brother in law was sitting on the other couch in the living room looking at her. I saw a shadow figure pass the door to the kitchen close to my bedroom. I guess my sister in law saw the look on my face b/c she looked at the kitchen. By the time she looked the same figure passed the other door in the kitchen going toward the wash room. We were all facing the door, so it wasn't just an out of the corner of our eye thing. Also we were wide awake and we all saw the same thing.

A few years later my DH and I are living in our first home. He finally convinced me to let my infant son sleep in his own room, he was probably about 10 months or so. I was pregnant with our 2nd son. Our first son was a premie and I would go and check on him often while he was sleeping. One night I heard him babbling, and then a woman's voice, then him babble, and back and forth. I stood at the door for about a minute before opening the door as the woman was talking. I couldn't make out what she was saying, but I could tell it was a woman. As soon as I opened the door, her talking stopped. He was sitting up in his bed looking forward like he had been talking to someone. My DS is now 10 so I can't remember which came first, the news of her passing or hearing the voice. Around that time, a friend that I use to room with in the summer (at a high school thing where we would spend the summer at a college) took her own life. She had been married and her and her husband split, he took their son to another state, and he told her that she would never see their son again. Since I almost died having my first son, I was not told about her passing until after her funeral b/c my mom didn't think my blood pressure could handle it.

"Since the 1970s, author Jane Roberts has transcribed text channeled from what she described as an "energy personality essence" named Seth. Topics attributed to Seth discuss the nature of physical reality, the origins of the universe, the theory of evolution, the many-worlds interpretation, the Christ story, and the purpose of life among other subjects and form a collection of more than 10 books and a number of videos and audio recordings.

Author John Fuller used a Ouija board in his research for his 1976 book The Ghost of Flight 401. As he was skeptical of its effectiveness, he worked with a medium and claimed they both contacted Don Repo, the flight engineer on the flight which crashed into the Everglades en route to Miami. According to Fuller, the information divined described facts that neither he nor the medium previously knew."

I have the Ghost of Flight 401...pretty compelling even with a skeptical view!

To the OP, if you post the room number it will be come the most requested room at Disney. Seriously, my friend lives in the Charleston, SC area and it is considered one of the most haunted cities, there is a bed and breakfast on the battery downtown that is very well known to have a haunted room, it's almost always completely booked.

I have one for you. We moved into our house when youngest DS was about 11 months old. From day one he would sit in his bed at night and laugh and giggle alot. Strange things would happen around the house like lights on that we thought we turned off, doors left open, etc. We dismissed these things as one of our sons doing it and we just didn't notice. Our dog sits in certain areas of the house and watches toward the ceiling with his ears perked up. When we got our female boxer two years ago, she started doing the same thing. One day I finally asked DS what he was laughing at because by this time he was now 4! He stated that he was laughing at the little girl. I asked what little girl. He said that one that comes to see him at night! We have woken up on several occassions to toys playing (musical toys, remote control cars, cars that come on when you push the button, etc). When DH and I would go into the boys bedroom, the both were usually always sound asleep. One night youngest DS was laying in his bed laughing. He said that the little girl turned on his car and the sound of it scared her and she went away!! About 2 years ago, I had fallen back asleep on the couch one morning, only to be awakened by what I thought was my youngest DS. When I fully opened my eyes, there was a little girl standing in front of me wearing a dress from the 1800's!!! She looked alot like my youngest DS (blond hair, blue eyes)!!!! Now that youngest DS is 9, he doesn't report seeing her, but the dogs still look up at the ceiling, toys still go off, lights still come on, and the tv in the boys room is turned on by itself more times than I can count!!!

If I could remember it I would.

I only know it was in the 70s section.

I will have to do some looking around and see if I can find any papers with it on.

Sorry but I just thought of something...everyone always call the Legendary Years as a ghost town, maybe the ghost are tired of the builing too, and decided to join the living.:lmao:

Just a thought...:confused3

There is another thread floating around here that is about a recent trip to Pop w/ some very strange happenings...let me find it and I 'll add it here in a minute...

Here it is http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1973660 but I think y'all have already matched up these two threads. Man...this is all spooky!

Thanks for the link wee:goodvibes

I just read that thread.

So strange how both of our strange occurrences happened in the 70s section

A friend of mine told me a story that happened to her family. Her son was probably about 3 or 4 and her daughter was one and was just learning to walk. They were visiting her sister or sister in law at her cottage. They were in the kitchen and the little girl was about 3 or 4 feet from the basement stairs. All of a sudden she fell down the stairs! The little guy started getting really upset and said "Why did that mean lady push her down the stairs?"

I would not EVER want to be there again!
