if you rely on faith and personal experience I guarantee that the truth in regard these matters will continue to "remain that way" for you...Fortunately TRUTH transcends your and my preferences, your and my personal experience and your and my faith...the TRUTH is truth. Facts are facts...Reality is.
when someone claims, "if the CM's don't say goodnight or something like that at the close of the ride, the ride will malfunction" this is a real world -testable cause and effect claim...it is either true or false...that means it most certainly can be proven regardless if this reality does not comform to someone's needs, desires, hopes or wishes.
If the CM does not say "say goodnight or something like that at the close of the ride" and the ride does NOT malfunction any differently than any other day then this statement is proven FALSE. If everytime they do not "say goodnight or something like that at the close of the ride" it does indeed malfunction MORE than the usual on the days that they do "say goodnight or something like that at the close of the ride" then it is proven true. Ideally the people determining whether or not the ride is malfunctioning more or less will be BLINDED as to whether the appropriate good night was given or not...that is the best way to get to the truth and reduce the biases of those that prefer the answer come out a particular way-one way or the other.
I value truth-- and there are ways to come to know it...it is our best hope of understanding and acting appropriately in this very real world in which we live. Perpetuating Falsehoods like this - or claiming they are not even testable--is at best a waste of time and potentially far more harmful in the ramifications it has on how people conduct themselves in the REAL TRUE WORLD --the world that actually can pass the truth test.
It is the 21st not the 12th century...we have a way to understand these things...lets use it...
