WOW! That's all I can say. I did not know that HM did a Holiday overlay so imagine my surprise when I saw a tricked out version of one of my favorite attractions! I have been to WDW fro MNSSHP and never saw anything special for that so I was taken by surprise. I loved it, what a special treat! Now my DD and DSIL are jealous......

I'm glad you liked it. The first time I rode HMH too I was pleasantly surprised as well. Can't wait to ride it in less than a week!!!!

Sadly, no. They've figured that since DL gets a lot more locals then WDW(who gets more big once-in-a-lifetime vacatoins), they can afford to have a different version of the mansion for a few months.

The two different versions of HM/HHM are my favorite DL attraction.

I love them both and I am glad to hear you enjoyed the overlay! There are way too many people out there that are so bothered by the overlay and the temporary loss of the original HM that they forget to enjoy the magic and extreme attention to detail that the DL Imagineers put into recreating the HHM each fall!

My family always travels in the fall so we have always only been able to see the holiday version of HM. We always thought we would like the original version better since we are not particularly fans of NBC. However, we were pleasantly surprised after seeing the original that we really like it better with the overlay! It is so much more fun with the music and has so much more to see.

It was so much fun to get to see the Holiday version. It opened the day we went to DL so that was wonderful.
