With LLMP you do not get to choose your return time, you just know ahead of time when you book what it would be. With VQ you have no clue what it will be until they "call" your boarding group.

Yes this is what I mean . With LLMP, even though you do not get to choose an exact time you can gauge about what time to go for a LL to get the approximate time you want and you can keep modifying to try and get a better time if needs be. With VQ you have no control over it whatsoever.

It is though very much a lucky draw at 7:00am. You could get group 20, 30, 40 or even later with no control over it at all. I know they have been allowing people in if they return late for their VQ but I am concerned they will enforce return times at HM once Tiana's opens and people are only allowed to hold one VQ at a time. Anyway guess we will just have to wait and see. I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed that they get the queue area finished soon and VQ for HM goes away.

If VQ went away for "Mansion" wouldn't their be a standby or single rider line tho?

Oh, sure. But Lightning Lanes are so much better! (Well, better than standby; single rider can work out well. I wouldn't get my hopes up for that being added to HM, though. Are there rumors about that with the new queue?)

Single rider can't happen at HM. There's no way to manage it and no reason to do it - all the vehicles are single party. (They can't put a single rider in a vehicle with someone else.)

I think the other advantage to the end of the VQ for some folks is the ability to ride HMH more than once a day (once with LLMP if you have it, and then again or several more times SB). With the current VQ, you are limited to one ride per day.

We leave tomorrow, so no Tiana's for us this trip. I am horrible with virtual queues anyway.
DD is a master of them. Glad she is with me this trip since HM is my favourite ride.
She got group 10 on Tuesday and group 1 today

Totally off-topic, but I'm going to use this moment to complain about my biggest grammar pet peeve on these boards so I don't bring it up in front of the people who do it:

The insane number of people who use the word "dinning" instead of "dining".

Like, is there some town in Wisconsin that refers to eating dinner as "dinning"? Is it pronounced like "dinner" or "diner"? HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN.

Type "dinning" into the search box up top and enjoy the madness.

Yesterday the park sold out. Prior to Tiana's opening, I think HMH was available for 15-30 min.

I think there are two problems. First, people who don't usually do VQ are now trying it for Tiana's. Since HMH is listed first, I think there are probably a decent number of people who accidently select HMH when they wanted Tiana's. Second, Tiana's fills within seconds. If someone tries for Tiana's and doesn't get it, they are on the app at 7 am and go back and select HMH making those VQ spots fill more quickly.

This would be my advice. Try for Tiana's first and then get HMH so hopefully your have boarding group called before the noon drop and can try again.

I know before Tiana's opened they were available well after park opening. It is only since the Tiana previews that they started to sell out before 9pm.

They somehow made this VQ into the best to....***? Like why Disney this VQ is on you..you choose to make these rides like this and now we can't get on them unless we are at the park for most the day.....not a fan
