I see the last day of the current refurb is January 23rd, and we were thinking of a day trip that day. I'm guessing it's unlikely that they'll be done removing the overlay early, and actually open the attraction that day, right?

This is not a refurb but the removal of the Holiday overlay that they do every year, which means they are pretty used to knowing how long it takes for this particular project, so their estimates are more accurate than many other ride closures. That said, since it is the last day, it's certainly possible, and worth checking in while you're walking past throughout the day!

Yeah, I knew it was the overlay removal...and you are confirming what I guessed in that they probably know exactly how long it takes to get the work done. We'll swing by anyway just to check it out. You never know, right?
