Hi does anyone have any info on the HM movie set tour at the studios? Is it open yet? If so does anyone know how long that will be on display for? We'll be in WDW from 12/30- 1/4, but we probably won't go to the studios till about 1/2 -1/3.

THanks for the info!

Oh has anyone checked it out yet? How is it?:D

I was there Sunday morning (10/26) when it opened at 10:00 AM. I was fifth in line but the room had about 30 people by the time they closed the doors.

The pictures in the beginning area are very interesting. Don’t walk by these too quickly.

When you go around the corner and see the set, it’s pretty amazing. The staircase is huge and is actually a part of the original set of the movie. The fireplace, immediately to your right as you turn the corner, is beautiful.

There are drawings and costumes on the left. They are worth looking at.

There is a short movie that explains some of the effects. Fascinating!

The entire thing lasts about 18 minutes.

The only part I didn't like was at the end, the CM said, take a look around and it felt like only seconds and he was saying our time was up. I could've used another 5/10 minutes to look at all I wanted to see. But, that's ok.

I give it a "thumbs up" as a movie teaser.

I just got back from WDW and saw the HM set on Tuesday 10-21.
I don't know how long it will be open. It was really neat, and you can get a up close view of the props. The CM tells a little about the set and you also see a short film from the director. You are then free to walk around and look at the set for a few minutes. I'm glad I took the time to see it.
Heard the CM explain to a kid how they make the cobwebs....really neat to know.:D

I saw it last Sun 10/19 .It is a MUST SEE in my book!!:D

When we walked into the area were the huge props ,the fireplace, dining table and staircase were located it was absolutely amazing!!

I'm not sure how long it will be on display but if the 13 weeks thing is right that means it will be closing the last week of Dec.

The tour runs daily 10am to 6pm.

If you're at MGM while this HM set is there I highly recommend taking the time to see it!!!

I was very disappointed in the time allotment for it. The CM said take your time and look around, then 45 seconds later she said ok, that's all, and we had to leave. I didn't get to see much of anything. The set was awesome, but I really would have liked at least 3 minutes to look at all the stuff.

In my opinion........don't waste your time.

I'm sure the film will be shown on the Disney Channel very soon.
And the props...just not much to look at. Staircase and a fireplace........big deal!

We expected something more like the 101 Dalmations set....at least with that they showed how the dogs worked, etc!!
