Haunted Mansion Holiday to return?

i heard and read rumors that the haunted mansion wont transfrom into its nightmare before christmas form this year due to the 50th anniversary, but when i checked on disneylands website for todays calender, and the 24th of this month, it said the mansion is closed for the holiday transformation, is it really going down again this year? i hope so, my girl loves that movie, and will make her day all the more better, for when i propose that night

Yes, the Mansion has closed to transform it into Nightmare Before Christmas. They are not having an event this year because of the 50th festivities.

Having a event? you mean like the oogie boogie special they did for the 10 year anniversary of TnbC ? or something else? as long as the haunted mansion is changed this winter ill be happy <3

I can attest to its transformation! We rode it Sunday and on Monday it was all closed down. They are having some sort of Halloween thing this year, there's a thread on it somewhere on this board.

PLEASE tell me that there will be Jack skelington...........my DD(6) loves TNBC and has talked of the transformation we had seen in pics and will be crushed if they dont do it this year...............

The event they've been having the past couple of years is to celebrate the overlay being complete. Only people that buy tickets to this event can attend. We were there last year and it was great!

I would say the event is more to sell NBC Merchandise as it completely revolves around being able to buy items etc. with the added bonus of a dinner and the opportunity to ride it before the general public.

I could be wrong, but I believe the floating rumor is that this year could be the last. Recall reading something about Tim Burton being unhappy with it. Could be complete speculation.

I love how fast the Disney crew works at stuff like this. All the things they do to change the attraction an din just 2 weeks.

Yeah, the gates are currently closed and you can see some of the decor on the outside. We're going again next Sunday, so we'll be able to do it by then.

So does it open on the 30th? The main Disney website says HM is closed on the 29 for Haunted Mansion rehab, but that all rides and attractions are open starting the 30th. Thanks for the help!
