Haunted Mansion FASTPASS Closed???

I keep hearing that the HM Fastpass machines have been closed. Can someone confirm this? Were they even closed during the busy President's Day weekend?

Just wondering what to expect over the Easter Break.

They were closed this past week because they just weren't needed. This was the case for several rides during various parts of our trip. The longest line we were in the entire time was the line through security leaving Orlando, and they *never* offer Fastpass there!

I'd bet they'd be open for Easter though...

Rumor has it that Haunted Mansion is losing its FastPass machines and they will be going over to Tomorrowland Indy Speedway.
With rides like HM that load continuously, FastPass can actually create more of a line than help out.

I have heard this as well and I think it's great. Too bad they couldn't do one for Dumbo as well.

It is definitely much more needed at the Indy Speedway than at Haunted Mansion. I know I've never needed to use it. I think the longest I ever waited (even during heavy season) was 20 minutes, tops. They can fit so many into the rooms and the ride keeps moving. It's great.

DEff, that is REALLY funny! Now, whenever I am at MCO I will wish I had a fastpass!

I have seen hour waits + at HM. I think it may have been NYE when we saw the que line for HM extend all the way back to the riverboat entrance. The HM line was actually getting confused with that entrance.
But the HM FP I thought has always dumped guests at a bad location. It is almost too bad the HM FP did nottake guests through the handicap corridor. Agree the speedway needs FP worse.
