Once again normal HM, you might be hitting it a good deal

But HMH by 11 AM is normally 60-90 mins or more.

I walked onto this ride the other day, the system is not perfect but also not bad for HMH. Unless you like paying 25 bucks to wait longer to ride this

the New Q will be in next year and people can see first hand next year, how fun HMH is without this system because the ride just gets lines alllll day

Do you think it is possible that because the regular Haunted Mansion has been gone since August 2023 and will not return to Feb. 2025 that the regular HM may be available throughout 2025 and no overlay...for 2025.. I doubt it will happen but anything is possible. The regular HM in 2025 would be a open a maximum 6.25 months...

The internet fans have one thought but the general public disagrees, like how many fans online say the magic is gone but the parks are normally pretty crowded/dining at most places in seconds disappear but....then people will say Disneyland is dead

HM will return sometime next year....but who knows the Q was suppose to be done in the summer and is NO where near done. So we might see HM go down and not come back until March this year depending on the Q's needs.

That's been my thought too. I never saw it published anywhere that Disney expected to have the queue ready by any particular date. Just because fans think it should have been ready by such and such a time doesn't mean that was Disney's timetable.

Regardless of what version is more popular, after the lengthy construction time, I would not be upset if regular HM was in 2025 and the overlay comes back with updates for 2026. I love the overlay but it is time for updates/changes.

We normally get one or two new things added each year for HMH

This year we got some new Jack in the Boxes along with like always a new Ginger Beard house.

But yeah, Disney will not be updating HMH more until they either make wayyyy more money or guests demands go down. Its like Small World Holiday, it gets long lines and until that demand dies down this is what Disney will keep doing

Would not mind more classic HM but its just not it that cards as long as the general public flocks to it and buys LL for the attraction

Agree with this. Before we had to rope drop HMH just to ride it one time. Being able to VQ and then walk on is much better. We went two days in a row and did one ride in the morning and the next day did the 12 PM VQ and rode at night. It worked really well and we were able to RD other rides.

My mom who I don't think really understands what VQ is nor anything about LL was disappointed about it being VQ when I told her. I then explained how I thought that that was a good thing because it meant a shorter wait in the physical queue.

Just back from a Disney trip. Got VQ at 7AM, I believe I was group 38? My group was called around mid-morning, but I was waiting for a friend who was in a later group (group 80-something). Once her group was called in early afternoon, we went in together with no issues despite my group having been called hours earlier (and the app saying my VQ had expired).

Yes for the noon drop you have to be in the park. You COULD join the 7am VQ but your return time will likely be before you arrive in the park.

For the most part it’s not being enforced.

They currently are mostly not enforcing the return time but there have been accounts of people being refused entry after their boarding group expired.

Don’t say anything when you return. Just hold it out to be scanned.

I’ve never tried to use a Magicband for a VQ return at Disneyland as they ask to see the barcode screen anyways when you get in line.

Edit: they use the iPhone devices to scan you in.

I have had them scan our magic bands. No issues at all.
