So I think i got my son hooked on this ride during the trip we just finished. My son is pretty quick with a line and thought. He really started to enjoy the pre-show and everything.....so here it goes.

We go into the stretching for our third time (out of 2 days). Master Gracey is doing his thing with his words. When it comes to the bit about there being no doors and windows a kid next to use asks his dad how are we getting out. My son really quickly leaned over to me and says "forget getting out, how the heck did we get in in the first place"....we kind of laughed the whole ride. It was great.

Your son has picked a wonderful ride to be hooked on!!!!

Haunted Mansion has been my favorite ride since my aunt started taking me to WDW in 1988. I don't remember to many things very well from the trip as I was going through chemotherapy, but boy, Haunted Mansion sure did stick with me...

We were just finishing up the outside Que and were first in line at the doors to go inside. I remember the big doors swinging open and in my excitement to see everything I started forward and to my dismay here comes the Butler, I swear he stood 3 feet over me ( I was 5'4" so I know that wasn't true, but it sure did seem like it) right in front of where I was going and in his big burly voice says "WELCOME to the Haunted Mansion" and then some more after that, but I don't' remember anything else he said because I had somehow gone from walking in a b-line forward into the door to jumping 3 feet up and 5 feet backwards right into my aunt because he scared the life out of me. Of coarse EVERYONE at that point was laughing so hard at me EXCEPT the butler and I still to this day do not know how he kept a straight face. He then proceeded to follow me around the "elevator" area. Every time I would move, he would move with me. Every time he spoke, he would speak right over my head. The CM's for HM are just so good at playing their parts!

So cute! I often have to scold my ten year old while in the "stretching room". He has been on the ride so many times, he knows the dialogue by heart and want to stand there a talk "in character" along with him. I don't want him ruining the experience for newbies or other people! :)

Our last ride, when this happened, the room had a lot of repeat riders, because they spoke along with the dialogue. When Master Gracey said "or take my way" the whole room was talking. It was actually kind of cool.

And three rides not one camera flasher...now POTC that was a different story.....

too cute!

I have a horror movie scream... have always wanted to let it rip in the stretching room to see what the reaction would be... LMAO :lmao:

I wasn't thrilled with the stretching room screamers the first time I took DS on it. He was already choking me because he was hanging on to my neck so tight.

Once he rode it and saw how mild it was he was past that though. :)

So cute! How old is your son? My 6 yr old son loves HM too. This last trip we spent a significant amount of time in the queue looking for the bride's ring. He was super excited when he found it!
