Are the haunted houses at HHN wheelchair accesible? My brother is in a power wheelchair and is worried. There is already so much that he cannot do, it will be a big blow if he can't get into the houses he is so excited.

The problem with the houses at HHN is that the walkway is pretty narrow most of the time. Some of the houses might be accessible but I don't remember any from last year that would have been.

They are wheelchair accessible but not all of them are ECV accessible.

Wow...those walkways are so narrow I never would have thought about fitting a wheelchair in the houses. That's good though. :thumbsup2

You may need to do that. Or you could rent or bring a regular wheelchair and have him transfer to that for each house. You should b able to check with the "greeter" at each house and find out if the ECV will be able to go in or if he needs to transfer.

Electric wheelchairs are never a good idea at HHN. You'll have trouble getting through the crowds, much less the houses.

Thanks everyone!! Yeah the crowds are crazy and I know it will be tough with a wheelchair. Last year around 10:00 we gave up and left which was fine since we used most of our express passes anyway. This time we are doing two nights. One for houses and one for the houses that way we can be gone by 10:00 both nights.

I would recommend doing Stay & Scream if you're already going to have a park ticket or AP. That way you can get a head start on the houses before the crowds arrive.

We do plan on doing that the night of the houses just not the night of the shows. Is there really an advantage to getting their early that night? I would assume shows do not start until 7:00p.m

huh.......it's HHN..........everything is great there from opening to closing.

get released at the stay and scream area and be able to do 3 houses before the general public is let in.

that allows you to hold off on using your express pass you bought in the beginning and use it when the lines are long.

i went 4 nights in a row last year and with a RIP group on the last night.

even that wasn't enough for me.

but then, i am addicted to HHN

Hey Macraven - I see all the HHN groupies are answeing my questions- cool.
What I meant to say was that we will be definately be doing stay and scream
on the night we do haunted houses, I know the advantage to this as we do it every year-only way we will do it. Just not sure if the second night we are going for the shows. Do the shows start before 7:00 as I do not remember. I just don't want to get daycare for 2 nights starting at 4:00p.m. if I don't have to.

Thanks everyone- I am so excited to take my bro - he is 15 and all about the horror:scared1:

I don't remember what time the shows started last night but I'm all about the houses...Mac and I did the Rocky Horror Tribute that was a lot of fun and I tried to keep Mac under control...big chore! I think 7pm would be the earliest but remember...if you're outside waiting to get in the gate, it could take a while. Do S & S both nights if you can.

O.K. will try- loved Rocky Horror, I hope it comes back!!

the first shows of the night are either 7 or 7:30.

i can't imagine not doing the houses on both nights.

there are 2 teams of scareactors for each house and zone.
Team A and Team B

they rotate every 45 minutes on then 30 minutes off.

i enjoy seeing both teams in action in the houses.

some scareactors makes the biggest difference in the house.

they all bring something of themselves into it.

do the houses and try to catch each team doing their thing.
work the shows into each evening.

i repeat the shows also, especially Bill and Ted's

just because i wanted to stand up and dance along and pretend i was part of the show wasn't too bad.

i remember you called out some of the action words also with me that night.

we had a blast!!!!

repeat this year metro
