Okay, maybe not HAUNTED, buuuut

I convinced my husband to take a disney cruise in June of 2001 and we booked a 7 night for January, 2003 (18 months in advance). We had to cancel a DVC trip that led to lots of points that needed to be used quickly so we ended up taking a 7 day in Jan 2002, a whole year before our planned 2003 trip! During that time we got the $99 wonder cruise coupon and took a 3 day in September of 2002. That was 3 cruises in one year. I thought it was nuts. My husband thought it was nuts. We enjoyed every last minute and thought we were over it, buuuuuuut...

Help! I have even been too busy to really frequent the boards and since I wasn't planning a cruise this was the first to slip. Then I came back and saw a post about the 2004 christmas cruise and now at least once a week (more when things get stressful) I have dreams of being on the magic or the wonder. The worst part is that we have begun saving in earnest for a house and I don't see a DCL vacation for us in the near future. I got excited about the christmas 2004 cruise and then said "$6,000 for the two of us! Why that could pay for closing!" Maybe when we are in our new house and it's time to start a family we can take a disney cruise so that I can be like that woman in the "little souvenir" DCL commercial (the best commercial ever!)

Anyway, I just needed some sympathy. I know we're awfully lucky to have gone on the cruises that we went on and frankly I thought that people who did this over and over must be nuts but my subconscious is telling me that I am one of the nuts myself! Oh well, I think I already knew that. Anyone else pining away for DCL with no hope in sight?

Lisa

I'm already pining away for another DCL trip for our 10th anniversary in 2005, but DH kind of wants to try another company like RCL or Princess.

I thought I'd be "over it" after we returned from our April western cruise, but no dice. I booked another one almost immediately and I have been thinking about another one after that. If you didn't get over it after 3 cruises in one year, man am I in trouble!!

You're in trouble.

I thought I was safe for the past 7 months or so since our cruise. Now I'm getting the "yearnings."

I have dreams about off beat, palo and snorkeling in the caribbean. At the end of a long day I just want to sit in sessions and have some peanuts and a cranberry juice, maybe some cheese and crackers. I want to order room service! I want to try the new menus! I want to have a pickup game of ping pong or shuffleboard while walking on the deck. I want the smoothie man to ask me "would you like some smoothie?" I want people to smile at me everywhere I go! I want to be so happy that I smile at people wherever I go. I want to hear the the disney horn blow! I want to get a cookie dough frozen yogurt when my mouth is too salty from swimming at castaway cay! Wah.

Yes, you're definately in trouble!

Oh boy do I know that feeling. Lisa Honey you've got it bad. If I was you I would trade in that New Years Eve stay at BWV for a cruise.

We weren't going to go this year, major house renovations going on and I started a new job, but I couldn't stay away from the boards. I saw some of my cruising buddy going again and I couldn't stand it I had to go too.
I've already booked next year and have plans for 2005.

BTW where do you get cookie dough frozen yogurt??????

Lisa, I was afraid of that! :D

Especially after reading all your great memories-- I swear I hear that horn in my sleep! I want to lay on the chairs on deck four for a quick cat nap, a light sea spray dusting my face. And every time I eat out and it comes time order dessert, I wistfully think of the souffle at Palo.

Maybe we should try to talk to DVC into a resort on CC??? Or better yet-- condos! Only for those of us who are "terminally afflicted with DCL mania."

We got back from our first ever cruise, the 3 day Wonder and all I have been thinking about is how to get on another cruise. My parents and siblings have done other cruise lines and keep trying to get us to consider another line, but we only want to be on the Magic for a 7 day.

DH is a teacher in NJ and we were trying to find a way to get on the 3 day Wonder for teacher's convention, but we have a family obligation on Saturday of that weekend in Baltimore. It was an event that I was really looking forward to, but I keep thinking I would rather be on Castaway Cay instead!

Ack, ginger, you actually had me look into it. At first I was confused, the 3 day isn't departing thursday like it should. THEN i realized that there is a 4 day departing on 12/31 and getting back in 1/4. We are arriving late 12/30 and departing early 1/5. Hello, is that fate or what??? We are paying 192 points for a 1 bedroom at the boardwalk, and if we paid points for the cruise it would be 242 points for a cat 11. That's just a 50 point difference for 4 days of food and entertainment! But hubby is not sold yet, we will see what happens. But it sure does seem to be "meant to be", doesn't it? BTW, the frozen yogurt was at cookies on CC. Of course the damn weather is always so cold that time of year so that's definately a consideration (it was pretty cold at CC last January when we were there but the previous January it was wonderful so hit or miss).

saturday, i would prefer if they sold a timeshare on the ship, like that "residential" ship they have out there, only I probably wouldn't be able to afford it!

obsessed, it's a sickness. at least you have the right name for it!

Too many cruises with DCL...I don't think so !! I miss being on board all the time. I miss sitting by the pool with a cold drink, sitting on our verandah at night watching the stars, listening to the horn as you pull out of port, and finally that feeling of complete relaxation and wondering how it could get to be any better !!

I want to go back now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
