I'm debating whether or not to bring my big stroller, or just an umbrella one. Obviously the big one would be more comfortable, etc.

On the buses that go from the resorts to the parks, can you put your stroller in a compartment underneath the bus, or do you have to bring it on? And is there a place on the bus to put them or do you have to hang on to it?

There is no compartment underneath park busses, they are like city busses.

You have to fold it and carry it on. No specific place to put them.

Whether you're sitting or standing, you're expected to hold on to your folded stroller. If you're seated, you may be able to stuff it under your seat and keep it in place with your feet, but not all seats have the space underneath -- and the floor can be pretty gunky, especially if someone has recently spilled a cup of soda (think movie theater.)

We take an inexpensive umbrella type. I found a really nice one for under $40 which was taller, folded one-handed, and had a drink cup holder, sun shield and basket.
When we were there last week, a couple got on our bus without folding their stroller (bus was not crowded at all). The bus driver kept asking them to fold the stroller and they kept arguing that all "their stuff" (bags, cups, etc.) was on it. He insisted and finally they did, but got really angry.
Don't know why they thought they did not have to obey the rules, but the driver never should have even let them on the bus without it being folded.

We bring the stroller that is most comfortable for our DD & for us. A few moments of possible hassle on the bus is worth us all being comfortable all day long.

FWIW, we never had any hassle folding or keeping a hold on our Peg P3 on Disney buses or trams.

We rented the City Mini types so they were more comfortable and folded easily. We used our home stroller in the airport only. The umbrella strollers can be hard for kids to nap in and did not have enough storage for us. Love the City Mini.
