The year before last someone here gave me REALLY good directions for my sister to drive down to Pop Century from Lady Lake, Florida.. She's supposed to meet me at Pop a week from tomorrow and she has lost those directions..

If I recall, it was some sort of "back way" that kept her off the turnpike and such and brought her right to World Drive..

Anyone?

Thanks in advance! :)

Could you search your subscribed threads??

Does your sister not want to pay any tolls, or is she looking to avoid possible traffic on the turn pike?

She could take 27 to 192 or she could take 441 to 429 south
(note 429 south is a toll road)

I think it might have been the 27 to 192 route, but I'm not sure.. It was a "back way" that might have been longer (because it's not the "main" highway type thing), but kept her away from the folks zooming by her like maniacs and scaring the living daylights out of her.. LOL

As for searching for my subscribed threads, with the recent "improvements" to the search function, it's not that easy anymore.. :(

From Lady Lake, which is basically where I live, she can get on the turnpike in Wildwood and take that down to Rt 429 (I think it's exit 67A - towards Tampa). It's a new highway that will take her right to the new "back door" of WDW right by the Coronado Springs Resort on Buena Vista Dr..

It cuts out the busy section of the turnpike as well as Rt 4 and there's almost no traffic at all on Rt. 429 and there might be two or three other cars using that entrance into WDW.

Thanks! I was able to track down my old thread and for my sister, I think the 27 to 192 might be the best route..

I'm told that used to be the best way up until 429 opened up this past May. It's not even on most of the maps yet. It's about 14 miles from the turnpike to WDW property and no traffic, unless you consider a handful of cars traffic. I learned about it when the bus we hired to take the band to Epcot used it. Been using it ever since. We can usually be on WDW property in just under an hour.
