We are completely devoted and in love with all things Disney and are DVC members and go about 3 times a year. Usually on Columbus Day weekend we go to a place in upstate NY called the Rocking Horse Ranch - which is terrific fun and next Thanksgiving we are doing the Disney Cruise for the first time...we are looking ahead to 2008 and we will definitely go to Disney but would like to try a new family vacation. We have a 10, 7 yo and by 2008 a 2 yo ....we love travelling and try to go somewhere every 3-4 months....thinking Caribbean or Mexico. I heard there are family friendly places in Cancun. Was there many, many years ago before the kiddies but I hear it's less of a party town depending on when and where you go. Appreciate any input....just love planning our next trip.

:hippie:

We go to Universal and we take a ski trip. Sometimes we go to Cancun and right now we're planning a trip to Europe. WDW is usually a twice a year trip.

We have a motorhome so we try to see as many different places as time (vacation time that is!) permits. We've been to the Maine coast the past 2 summers and W. Palm and St. Augustine last March. This March we're going to Hilton Head and Savannah. In April, WIlliamsburn and Virginia Beach. In June, Lake George, NY and in Aug. we're off to New Hampshire. Next year I want to see Asheville, NC.

You mean there are OTHER places to go besides Disney!?!? :scared1: I had no idea!!!!!

Besides our Disney vacations, we've taken our son on vacations to Williamsburg, New York City, San Diego, Chicago, Northern Michigan, Toronto, Las Vegas and a cruise to Halifax, Nova Scotia. All big fun in their own way!

Living in Central Florida we are able to take advantage of all the other attractions that are here besides Disney year round. Some of our favorites are Gatorland and Cypress Gardens. We also love to go to the dinner shows here. We also go to the beach about twice a year. I think we are about due for a trip.

Sea World.

We just spent 4 days down at Captiva Island. It was nice enough, but I'd rather have spent the time at WDW.

We're thinking about a cruise, but that will probably be the Disney cruise.

I guess we're just hopeless, but I don't want to be saved.

Korea!
It's cheap, it's fun, you learn stuff without it being too painful, they're really friendly to polite Americans, and...

LOTTE WORLD!!!!! (Must be seen to be believed!)

Hawaii, cruises to the Western, Eastern and Southern Caribbean and California.

I am just as SHOCKED as you!!!!!!!!!;)

I am planning a possible California trip though! Luv it there too....they have DISNEYLAND!

We go to the beach (usually Myrtle Beach) pretty regularly. In teh past couple of years we've also vacationed in Atlanta. Heading to Washington DC this spring.

Of course one of my greatest loves is Disney...but Dh and I venture to other locals on occasion...every fourth of July we stay in Ocean City, MD and have done so since our high school days.

We also love to go to Salem, Ma during October for haunted happenings (when we aren't at Disney and MNSSHP, of course;) )

We also take a few trips to Hampton Beach here in NH during the summer. :)

Hey! We're heading to DC this spring too!

We do visit DC/Maryland area often (2-3 times a year) b/c we have family there.

In the past year, we've done San Diego, DC, Boston, Long Island.

Upcoming we have DC again for spring break. We don't have anything planned for the summer so I'm looking around for something really cheap. I don't think we're doing Florida in the summer this year, b/c after the past two summers there, I've decided I don't want to go again when it's hot.

I do love disney, but I enjoy seeing other cities as well...so basically, if I haven't been there yet it qualifies as a vacation destination.

Universal universal universal and did I say Universal????? Islands of Adventure there to me is the greatest park in the world bar none.

Also the beach, can't beat the beach ever.

Ha! We're usually there that same week too. My husband insists on OC every year. He's 49 and I think he's only missed a couple of years.

We do that and almost always spend a weekend or two in Williamsburg, VA every year. Other than that, it's WDW; or, if one of us has a good business trip, we'll extend it a bit to take in a few new sights.

We went to Hollywood for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. Of course we included a two days at Disneyland while we were there. Spent 9 days in Hollywood and didn't see a single star. Well, we did see Colby Donaldson from Survivor walking his dog, but I'm not sure if he qualifies for star status.

Next to Disney our family LOVES Myrtle Beach. We are planning on going to Cancun and Hawaii in the next few years though.

Isn't it funny when you have a tradition like that, you just can't seem to part with it :) . My parents stay in Chincoteague, Va at the same time. Since neither of us can bear to leave the island, so to speak, Dh and I will stand at the end of the pier and wave to them :rotfl:

Although, I think this year they said they might have to break that and have dinner with us at Captain's Galley for some seriously yummy crab cakes. :goodvibes

We like to see a lot of different places. Orlando and So Cal are pretty much the only places we keep going back to again and again.

Together, dh and I have been to Hawaii, Outer Banks, Mexico, New Zealand, Figi, St. John USVI, Tuscon, NYC, DC, San Francisco, Vegas, lots of different mountain towns here in Colorado for long weekends, like Glenwood Springs, Keystone, Steamboat and Durango...

Sometimes we'll do add-on's to our Disney trip. As we're DVC, we go to Vero Beach after WDW. Sometimes, we'll go to Universal, too. As we fly general aviation, we'll make stops along the way. We've stopped in Savannah for a few days and we've stopped in Virginia Beach on the way home. :goodvibes

As for something completely different, my MIL has a beautiful home on the St. Lawrence River. It's in the Alex Bay area of the Thousand Islands, in New York State. It's a wonderful place to go for a relaxing vacation. We spend most of the days soaking up the sun, swimming and jet-skiing. It's my second favorite place to go. :cloud9:
