Hate Those Small Bed Pillows!

Just back from the AKV. We had a wonderful time and the room was beautiful....

But we have one major complaint. Those bed pillows! They are sooooooo small. There were a lot of them, so your head can always find a pillow. But we found our heads falling off the pillow and falling between pillows because they are SO SMALL!! WE would prefer a few good size pillows instead of a bunch of small ones.

We found the same problem at the VWL. What is up with the small size of those pillows???? Why are they so small????

My DH hates them too, can't say I'm a fan either. We have a King size bed at home with King size pillows. Tiny pillows are everywhere we have stayed(SSR,VWL and BCV).

DH is now thinking of getting the owner's locker or maybe two. One just for decent size pillows.

I think it is just what you are used to. I like them too, but I use small pillows at home as well.

I would prefer king sized pillows on the king sized beds. But I usually use one of the little ones at WDW and give all the rest to my husband who likes lots of pillows.

My Mom and I just returned from the BWV's. She LOVED the pillows! She was even trying to find out what kind they were.

Cant wait for a stay at AKLV's- Even with the little pillows I am sure the views made up for it!

I can appreciate the complaints about uncomfortable pillows. I don't fault Disney in any way, though. I think it's really all about what you're used to.

As for myself, I need a really firm pillow; so much, in fact, that I have to bring my pillow from home every time I travel. It's amazing, but for me the pillow is actually more important than the bed in terms of getting a good night's sleep.

We miss our Sobakawa pillows when we are visiting WDW, but unless we decide to go for the Owner's Locker, there isn't much we can do about it, lol!

We aren't big fans of the pillows either. Our problem has more to do with the fluffiness and how many. DH and I like to sleep with 2 big fluffy pillows each. And when we are watching TV in bed we need an extra. We do grab the extra pillows for the sofa. But I usually call down for a couple more. They are just way to thin!

I really liked the pillows at OKW when we stayed there in 2005...don't know if they are the same as the other DVC properties. I'm a pillow hog and I always claim 2 and DH is left with the rest unless DS is with us then they have to flip usually because DS is like his mom...gotta have 2. During the last trip it was just DH & I in a studio, so he snagged 2 and I grabbed the extra pillows for the sofa sleeper. We'll have to see how the ones in AKV work for us in 35 days. Woohoo!

Not many have Heavenly Beds like Westin. I bring my memory foan pillows from home.....I can't sleep on what Disney provides.
