Hate - Nature or Nurture?

I was just wondering what your opinions on this are after talking about it in class...

So, do you think we hate by nature or we're nurtured into it by some other force?

I heard it was a chemical thing...

Forgot to add, I think that Fight or Flight is nature, hate is primarily nurture.

I don't think anything is as black and white. All behaviors are a complex mix of nature AND nurture.

Personalities, environment, temperament, family, morals- all of those things play a part in hate.

Nothing too spectacular, just English. We didn't come to a conclusion since we have to write a paper on it, but I think that it's a little bit of both.

Yup.

Like the people in the middle east are raised to hate us, not born.

And some people hate even when everything is perfect...like it was in their blood.

I agree that it is a mixture. The worst kind of homes have produced great people and psychopaths. Some hatred is taught and some people are just evil.
