Hatbox Ghost for DisneyWorld?

I read they are or have brought back the Hatbox Ghost in the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland a few months ago. Has there been any info if its being added to HM in DisneyWorld?

I don't think they ever do special items at WDW's HM. Is the Hat Box ghost a permanent ghost? So do they now have 1000 ghosts? Sorry I couldn't resist. Anyway the only changes ever made at WDW's HM have always been permanent changes. I keep hoping that they will do a Nightmare Before Christmas theme for the holidays, but it doesn't look like it will happen after all these years.

Originally installed in 1969, the hatbox ghost had a head that disappeared and reappeared in the hatbox it was holding in sync with the ghostly brides beating heart
But the tech did not work well and was removed after a few months
Fast forward 45 years and they brought it back at DL.

As a total side comment I just learned that one of the engineers that designed the HM in WDW loved chess and designed the chimneys like chess pieces
You can easily see the pawns all over the roof. I've looked at it for years and never noticed

I never noticed that before, even the brick chimneys look like chess pieces . Thanks for the heads up.

Here is a pic of the Hatbox Ghost


Yes the chimneys look like rooks, pawns on the sides of the windows and there are the crowns of the King / Queen pieces over the windows. Not sure if the other pointed ones are supposed to be knights. Very clever. Once you realize this you will never look at HM quite the same again.

Cannot wait to see HM's Nightmare Before Xmas overlay our upcoming trip, but hoping the hatbox ghost will still be evident. if not, will have to pencil in another west coats trip
