Hatbox Ghost, explain the hype

I saw the effect and YouTube and it looked cool. But what's the story behind it?

The Hatbox ghost was originally in the Mansion. It was officially removed before the attraction opened, but there were many guest who remembered seeing it and one who actually got it on video shortly after the attraction opened. Most likely it was removed a week or 2 after the Mansion opened. It was removed because they couldnt get the effect to work correctly. Since its removal, and especially since the internet became a thing, it has been rumored to be going back in. After 50 years, The Hatbox Ghost is home.

I have a friend who has talked to me about this for the four or so years I've known him. He's thrilled it's back in the attraction.

It was so cool, and kind of freaky, since I had completely forgotten about the addition!

You can't miss it now, it is kind of in a dark corner by itself. You can tell it is a modern addition and not the original though. Now I am wondering what they took out to put it in.

Can't stand it.
I can't wait to see Le hat box phantome. Am purposely not watching anything online or tv of him at the mansion.
I really was hoping to see him this week, had my flights and hotel etc paid for, but had to cancel out thanks to my work. Blah....lol
Now shooting for early part of July. Even thou I vowed to never go during the summer.
Oh well....some how I will adjust. Ha! Hope it isn't hot or horribly crowded. Lmao
