Hat at MGM

Just wondering if anyone knows what year the hat was placed in MGM?? I am starting to scrapbook my WDW pictures.. My first trip was in 2000 and Ive been 3 times so far including that first trip.. I dont see any pictures that I took of it on my first trip and I cant imagine that I wouldnt.. I have a few picturs where it says 100 years of magic next to it.. That would be from my trip in 2002.. Is that when they put the hat up??

The MgM hat was placed there in 2001. Hope this helps!
