Has your child been exposed to Pee Wee Herman yet?

I found him creepy even before the "exposure." My kids have not seen him (I wouldn't mind if they did) but they know a little about him. Any time we cannot find something the running joke is that it must be in the Basement of the Alamo;)

My daughter loved him in the early 90's before the "exposure". She's 23 now and can't believe how much she loved him then.

Oh dear, what an unfortunate choice of words for this thread's title. :rotfl:

I never have been able to stand Pee Wee for more than 30 seconds so I think I will spare my Dd!!

My thoughts exactly :rotfl2: Oh no, Pee Wee Herman is exposing himself again. :rotfl2:

Thought he was irritating before his arrest and now he is creepy and irritating!

Paul Reuben did do a good job as the drug dealer in Blow with JD though.
 :)

:lmao: Looks like I wasn't the only one thinking what I was thinking when I read the thread title!

Loved Pee Wee's Playhouse as a kid. Loved his movies too! My kids have never seen him, but I bet they would love them!

Uh, the only thing is, I would constantly be hearing...."That's my name, don't wear it out" "mecca lecca high, mecca hinney hoe" "I know you are, but what am I"......Don't know if Im ready to subject myself to Pee Wee torture yet!:lmao:

always nice to meet a fan :wave2:

We are fans too. Slowly my child gets exposed to lots of things from DP and I youth. SchoolHouse Rock, Electric Company, Zoom and now Pee Wee Herman.

Oh, wow, it's Pee Wee himself! What a day on the Dis!

:welcome:

We love Pee Wee's Big Adventure in my house! The scenes with the pet shop on fire were priceless!

I would absolutely adore, a ride on your bike Pee Wee....please?

you know, the red one....

Oh Pee Wee, Oh Pee Wee....listen.....

"Dottie, there are things about me you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand. I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel..."
:rotfl:

That was the first thing I thought, too! Maybe the pun WAS intended.

My DH and I were adults when PeeWee became popular. His playhouse for kids was very funny , the Pee Wee's Playhouse for adults that it was based on (I think it came on HBO) was absolutely hysterical. The late Phil Hartman was Captain Carl. I am so glad that he is back on the adult circuit. Paul Reubens is such a great talent, it's really too bad that his career halted the way it did. I also wish he could have a kids show again, but I don't know if that would be accepted.

My kids watched Pee Wee's big adventure a few years ago, maybe it's time to break it back out.

I don't make monkeys, I just train'em

Say it, don't spray it!

Pee Wee's Laugh

I meant to do that

Oh, ha ha ha, my mistake

Come on in, and pull yourself up a chair (like Chairry!)
Let the fun begin, it's time to let down your hair!
Pee-wee's SO excited,
'cause all his friends have been invited (that's you!)
To go wacky, at Pee-wee's Playhouse!
There's a crazy rhythm, comin' from Puppetland (what that?)
Dirty Dog, Cool Cat, and Chicky Baby are the Puppet Band (yeah!)
He's got a couple of talkin' fish,
and a genie who'll grant a wish -
Golly, it's cuckoo at Pee-wee's Playhouse!

Globey's spinnin', Mr. Window's grinnin',
'cause Pterri's flyin' by (hello!)
The Flowers are singin', the Picture Phone is ringin',
and the Dinosaur family goes, "Hi!"
Mr. Kite's soarin', Conky's still a snorin',
there's the flashing Magic Screen,
The Cowntess is so classy, Randy's kinda sassy -
A nuttier establishment you've never seen!
Spend the day with Pee-wee and you'll see what we mean! (Come on!)

Get outta bed, there'll be no more nappin'! (Wake up!)
'Cause you've landed in a place where anything can happen -
Now we've given you fair warnin'!
It's gonna be that kind of mornin' -
For bein' wacky!
For getting nutty!
Golly, it's cuckoo!
At Pee-wee's Playhouse!

How'd I do?:yay:
