Just curious... While parked at a resort you weren't staying at has your car ever actually been towed? Do you know someone who has actually had their car towed? I don't mean you heard of a car being towed, or rumors of towing. Just facts please. I know the 3 hour rule and don't want this to be a debate on if it's right or not.

Not quite sure why the question, but, my answer is no, but, the signs are there. Just curious, is there a point to your question?

I believe that if you are staying at any on-site Disney resort you can park at any other resort without a time limit. We once went to eat at Chef Mickey's and were not staying on-site that trip, the guard gave us a temporary card for our dash and had us park in a special lot. After we ate my DH moved the car into the regular lot and then we took the monorail to the MK. There was no problems. It was during off season and before 9/11, so things could have changed.

That is not completely true. Any of the "close to the resorts" do limit the parking even for onsite guests.

I have received a 3 hour pass at both the Polynesian & Contemporary with a DVC resort parking permit. We didn't go over, so I don't know what happens. I have heard reports on this board that they have seen cars being towed. I'm sure they would only do it on a day that is crowded, such as a holiday. It's only fair if the people staying in the hotel can't find spaces that they make some open spaces for them by towing cars that shouldn't be there. If you are having dinner there or stopping to shop, it shouldn't take more than 3 hours. The MK & Epcot resorts have signs saying they do not provide parking for the theme parks.

There have been posts of people seeing cars towed. Prehaps they were disabled cars, but even so would you like to be the first person to post a first person account of being towed?

I have seen cars being towed from MCO, the person got there as the car was being towed, NOT HAPPY.

Just as the question states....Just curious:D

I've seen quite a few towed at the Poly during my last two trips there in October and May. I had never seen this before as I've always stayed at the CBR or WL. So this is my first experience with a monorail deluxe. Personally I hope they tow all cars without a 3 hour permit. It can be a pain looking for a spot because some chose to stay in a cheap hotel and use the perks of the nicer resorts. I would never have parked in another resorts lot when I was staying at the CBR!
