gone swimming with the dolphins at discovery cove? My daughter will turn 6 in July and we go to DC in August. She says she wants to do it, but I am wondering if she is too small. I am wondering if I should go ahead and spend th extra 100 to reserve just in case we get there and she wants to.

My friend took her 6 year old and he loved it. When we were just there last week, the family that was in our group (there are 8 people in each group it seems.....there were 3 of us, we were grouped with a family of 5) had a 6 year old and he too loved it.

They need to be able to swim though!! They take you out and you have to tred water for a few minutes or more waiting for the dolphin to come to you. They have lifevests though.

Our daughter was 6 the first time we did it - she loved it. She is a very good swimmer though and loves to be in the water.

Our 6 yo did it last month - I was a bit apprenhensive but she loved it. She couldn't reach the floor so DH had to hold her the whole time.
She is a good swimmer but there were non-swimmers in the group who managed just fine :)

The picture is great. I was just wondering if someone with you took it from the beach or the discovery cove people took it?

Txs..

That's one of the DC pictures - our whole party did the swim so I don't have any photos taken from the beach
