We watched Lilo and Stitch again on The Disney Channel yesterday. He's just too cute.
Now princesses and all that girly girl stuff? Blech.
ETA: I think Stitch is Disney, but never considered Pooh and friends to be Disney yet they are everywhere.
but if Pooh characters are not Disney characters, then what are? I don't necessarily disagree that Pooh is sort of overdone at the parks, but although the characters are based on the Milne stories, all the recent Pooh movies and even the way they are drawn (I believe) is a product of the Disney company. I mean, the Little Mermaid story was written by Hans Christian Anderson, The Black Cauldron by Lloyd Alexander, Beauty and the Beast is an old fairy tale and Disney's version owes a debt of gratitude to the novel Beauty by Robin McKinley. Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Peter Pan, etc. etc. are all based on works created by other people that have been Disney-fied. What then are real Disney characters? Mickey and the gang for sure...beyond that it starts to get a bit gray.

Stitch, since it was an original story out of WD Studios in some ways has more of a claim to WDW than any of the princesses.
PS I like them all...I'm just curious to hear why people think Pooh is not Disney while (Cindy, Belle, Peter Pan, fill in the blank) is.![]()

No offense to Stitch fans, to each their own, but yech...![]()

Thanks for posting, it made me laugh but at the same time made me kinda sad since I'm not there to ride the monorail myself!AuroraBorealis said:However, if Johnny Depp recorded a new wake-up call as Capt. Jack Sparrow, I just might be okay with it.![]()
