Has this happened to anyone else?

We are going to DW in August on the buy 4 get 3 free deal. At the time of booking we did not purchase the dining plan. Well we've changed our minds and want to add the dining plan today but when I called to do that they told me that since the booking date for the 4/3 deal ended on May 29th I had to of added the dining plan by then. I called a week ago to ask when the last time was that I could add the plan and was told that I had up to 3 days prior to check in to add on.

The CM on the other line said she couldn't even see the dining as an option on our reservation?

Has anyone else had this problem? If so were you ever able toget the dining added?

If your reservation is a MYW package reservation anyway, you should be able to add the dining plan anytime up to 3 days prior to arrival. What you were told is that they would have to cancel your original reservation and rebook it and that should not be necessary unless you have a room-only reservation. If I recall correctly 4/3 bookings had to be MYW packages. Call back and ask someone else.

Call back....you can add the DDP with out any problem. The DDP doesn't have anything to do with the 4-3 promo.

Why would they not want to take your money???? Anytime there is an upgrade involved they are quite happy to do it.

Call back and try again w/ a diff CM.

It's amazing the variety of answers you can get from the same question asked of diff CM's!!

Just dealt w/ situation where it took four calls until I found a CM who knew how to help!

I also booked the4/3 deal back in Feb.I have been debating the dining plan for months I had made a few ressies and looked at a few menus to plan about what we would spend.We will be there for 10 nights and would spend about $1100 usually only 3 or 4 table service restaurants.The dining plan was $1300.I decided to go for it Sun(6/21).I called and asked about it and the CM was very nice and helpful.Said as long as it was 72 hours before my arrival I was ok to add it on-which I did.We go in 4 days

Thank you everyone for your replies. I called again and tho I was on hold for 33 minutes! (I was transferred all over Orlando) but I got the plan added. I thought the initial request not being granted was a bit odd since the total of the dining plan was well over $500 in Disney's pocket!
