has the free dining offer ended?

I also found that if you save your searches on quotes you often get bombarded with pin codes. Is the free dining not still available on Disney.com? They extended it a little while ago.

the US one is only through march 2012...
i need august...
in years past, the august free dining offer only came out in april or may of the same year...
but in any case, the offer is usually for the end of august....DD needs the beginning....but the pin code i got last year was for the beginning..
so i'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I've never had a pin code:( yet im always checking out holidays on their & ordering the travel book and DVD, I actually starting to think that only the US got them at least I know different now, have you ever got really decent ones then like so much percent off?( am I aloud to ask that sorry if I'm not) x

I've had some great ones and some useless ones. But I should be clear that we are talking about running quotes on Disney's US site. The pin codes are for booking in US $ via the US section of the website. I realised when you mentioned the DVD's and holiday brochures (they won't send them to the UK) that you are looking on the UK/international site. The difficulty with the pin codes is that they are generally released only a few months ahead of the time and are subject to black out dates as well. You also then have to book by US terms, which means there is usually a requirement for free dining packages to purchase a minimum of a one day base ticket per person for your booking to qualify. Last year you had to buy a 2 day base ticket plus a photo book. They change the qualifying conditions frequently so you need a calculator to work this out. The ones that are beneficial to me by my calculations are the room discounts. Nothing really great for me last year, but there have been some with 35% off a moderate resort/40% off a deluxe. One of the advantages with the free dining offers if you like a value resort is that they DO qualify for free QSDP which you can upgrade to DDP if you wish. It's all about doing the math and also considering how you will pay it off, taking into account fluctuating and unpredictable exchange rates.

I had a pin code this year from US disney - went into my spam.

I booked with US disne for early Dec 09 and the offer was for the same period of time.

Percentage off a room rate - 30%? maybe

Good news , the Free dining Offer and 14 days for price of 7 are back on for new bookings made between 20 December and 7th March next year.

Glad they did this as i couldn't commit to next year till after New Year. Now to start checking out flights and such again....

It was from an email i got Wayne from Disney Travel Agents advising us to get ready for loads of new bookings :)

I've cut the relevant section out of their email below. Just came in this morning so i don't think there will be a big delay in making public.

Thank you!
I wonder if they will be repeating the OKW/SSR discount along side.

They usually go hand in hand these offers , though i've just gone through the fine print in the email i got and it's not mentioned.

If we didn't enjoy staying in the Riverside so much i would have liked to try out OKW at least once. Maybe if they do this offer i'll try and persuade brothers to make the swap :)

We have only been to POR & FQ to look around, never stayed there but they look nice resort. With the discount and better DDP OKW works out cheaper than POR for us as we would have to pay to upgrade, QS is OK once a day but we eat a TS meal every day. OKW is just such a relaxing resort, no interest in any other resort while we can get this deal.

Anything about free dining for Oct, Nov 2012?

The restrictions on the email i got state for stays between the dates as 1st - 26th March , then 13th April - 01 December.

So come the 20th of December you should be ok.

Just checked on Disney Uk

Free Dining offer is back on.............including OKW

No discount on okw well not the dates i just checked which was nov

They've also got the $150 gift card back on which i didn't see coming.

Now they've increased the Dining Plan eating choices i'm thinking of upgrading from our usual POR on Quick Service plan to staying in the Animal Kingdom on the better meal plan.

If i paid the extra dining costs while staying at the POR the difference in cost is then only £150 or so to upgrade to the AKL...probably worth it?

it deffinately worth upgrading to ALK for £150, AKL is a fantastic hotel.

Or just upgrade the dining plan at por and spend the rest on bits in disney

...and that my friend is my Christmas and New Year dilema :lmao:

My trip is for 3 brothers all in our 40's. We all like the Port Orleans so no problem staying there but i'm the one who likes a bit of variety and as a travel agent my professional side is telling me to try out as many Disney hotels as possible for recomendations to clients.

If i put it up for family vote i'll be out done 2 to 1 i'm sure but if i "sell" it them in the right way they'll do what i want...i think :littleangel:
