Has the DIS ever considered a buy/sell forum?

I know that Ebay postings are not allowed, but has the DIS ever considered a thread where DISers could post things that they wanted to sell just to DISers? I'm sure this is some sort of sticky area, it's just that I have often thought of things that I would love to sell to just my DIS friends instead of on Ebay. We all help each other out in budgeting, it seems like it would be nice to sell things that we have for sale to our buddies that are looking for a good deal, instead of to a total "stranger." Just something I've thought of so many times when I was posting my Ebay listings...

There used to be one along time ago. But not everyone is honest and people get scammed. I dont think the owners of the disboards wanted to be responsible for policing bad deals so they shut it down. They have a rule that you cant buy or sell things on the boards. There is a trading thread somewhere on here. Someone on that thread keeps a list of bad traders.
