The valet parking staff is certainly not as good as it used to be. At the Polynesian it used to be when you pulled up to the GCH entrance there was an attendant at each car door and one at the trunk. Today, you might have to wait until one attendant can muster the strength to move from the bell desk to your car. On this past trip when we retrieved the car from the valet we were always asked if we needed directions. So I asked, "How do I get to Blizzard Beach?", "How do I get to Animal Kingdom?" or "How do I get to I-4". The response was always the same - "Go left to the gate, left out of the driveway then follow the signs." When I asked for directions to Typhoon Lagoon the valet asked me, "Is that near Downtown Disney?" then had to ask a co-worker for directions which were...."Go left out of the driveway then follow the signs!":
One evening at the Boardwalk Inn it took forever to drop the car off and even longer for the valet to bring it back. They also tried to charge me at Boardwalk even though the car had been parked in valet at the Polynesian all day and had the little valet tag hanging on the turn signal lever.
On a trip in November to the Grand Floridian, I had to stand outside my car and wait while 2 CM's at the bell stand just stood there looking at me. I waitede a good 5 minutes to have a valet come give me a receipt. Not very "Deluxe" IMO!
