The news is full of the drought but nothing on how it is affected the tourist place only the lawns and almonds.

No, not as far I can tell. The only thing it affects is the farmers, and using water for our personal usage. I am trying to understand your full question. What activities are you wanting to do? The homes that go beyond water usage or business's get charged a fine. It may cost people a little more for produce or even food due to the drought. But as far as tourism it has not affected anything. This is not the first time the west coast has suffered drought.

I live by the almond orchards and they water them all the time. Restaurants still serving water when not asked for.

Disneyland already processes water when they drain anything and sends it into the ground to add to the aquifer. They also use a lot of desert plants that don't really need to be watered. I'm not sure how other tourist places handle it.

The Getty Villa has turned off fountains and the reflecting pool is empty due to the drought.

The Alaskan glaciers continue to retreat with each Wonder's visit.
