Has Disney been doing random guest study groups lately (paid) at the parks?

In prior years every now and then when entering a park a CM has asked us if one of us would like to participate in a group study regarding what we like or dislike at the park. Usually takes about 1 hour and they give a gift card worth $100-$200. Has anyone gotten to participate in such a study recently?

My mother in law participated in a survey that sounds like what you've described upon entry to AK, but as far as I know, no giftcard was received or mentioned. I'll tell her to keep an eye out in her email and mail box though lol.

I did a survey last year at Hollywood Studios. It took about 10-15 minutes but we weren't compensated. We may have been entered for a chance to win something, but I honestly can't recall.

This is different than the quick surveys CM's do at the gate. The survey I participated in took place in an office building near Dinosaur that CM's led us into. Afterwards they handed each of us a $150 gift card. When we entered the park a CM asked if I wanted to participate and was told where to meet later in the day.

Many years ago, we were approached by a survey group employed by WDW when we entered Epcot, and asked if we would participate in a survey the following day. We had annual passes so it wouldn't cost us anything, and sounded like fun. We agreed. We were taken up to the 3rd floor in the Living with the Land building. They had snacks and drinks for us. Then we sat at a large conference table with different guests from all over, and asked questions about proposed changes, mostly to Epcot. As I recall, we were given $20.00. It's not every day someone wants to pay me for my opinion, and I had nothing planned for the day, so for us it was a win.

Ditto...it was many years ago.

We participated in several quick surveys for no compensation two weeks ago. Some included follow-up surveys sent by e-mail after our trip. We were never asked to participate in a focus group-type activity, though.

OMG I do surverys for every trip into the park, how do I start getting paid for these? I'll give an hour of time if they will pay my costs for the day :)

the surverys I do are generally can I scan your band, confirm who I am and email and I get something that night in email. sometmes there is a few more questions. Once at epcot I got snagged for a meal review survey and that was done on sight and took about 15 minutes

I've done two that have taken about 15 minutes each and received no compensation. And then I wised up. You want me to take time from my expensive vacation to talk to you and not even give me as much as a bottle of water? I can spend the same amount of time doing an online survey and make $5. No more Disney surveys for me.

I did one April 8, 2016 in MK inside a building near the Firehouse. It took about 15 mintues to answer many questions at a computer terminal...I got a Mickey Mouse sticker and a "thank you"...lol. DH or I always get picked for the street surveys that last about 1 minute.

I did a focus group on 4/26 at Epcot. Saw a possible TV pilot for next season, answered some questions, and got a $50 gift card plus snacks/drinks.

I will not be doing any survey's unless compensated. Why take time out of my day to give info Disney wants, when they can't even compensate me for it? They are a multi-million dollar company and they should compensate people for being helpful to their company. That is the right thing to do.
