Hi all we have 12 weeks to go until our 1st trip to DLRP & will be staying at DLH. :)

I have been reading through posts for quite a while now & have already picked up some great tips for an even greater stay~Thanks everyone. :thumbsup2

I would love to know if anyone has treated their own little princess to a makeover in the DLH Boutique, what was your experience like?
I would like to know how I go about booking it, the sort of price & package involved & how long it will take roughly?

We are there from 14/05 ( 2pmish ) to 18/05 ( 5pmish )
So I am thinking I would like my daughter to have this treat on 17/05
as I know from posts this is a busy time in the park so will want to use the other days for our park time to get the most from our stay. Does this sound like a good idea????

We never booked it for my DD1 - it just seemed too expensive for what it was if I'm honest and I felt she was too young anyway for make up etc (we saw the area every day on both our previous trips as were staying at the DLH, but there was never anyone there!). If it's still in the same place, it's in a bit of an odd place - sort of off to the side of the stairs on a landing area :confused3.

I have found an old post from 2009 where someone posted the prices - mind you, the way DLRP has gone, it has probably doubled from these prices :lmao:

Princess - 60 Euro's
Make up, Hairstyle, Tiara and Photo

Princess Plus - 130 Euro's
Make up, Hairstyle, Tiara, Wand, Photo, Dress and Gift box

Princess Deluxe - 160 Euro's
As above but also includes: Photo frame, boa and Princess figure set

Princess Gisele - 62 Euro's
Make up, Hairstyle, Tiara and Photo

Princess Gisele Pluse - 140 Euro's
Make up, Hairstyle, Tiara, Phot, Dress and Gift box

As for when you do it - I can't honestly see it being that busy so perhaps wait until you see the opening hours/park program before booking. It might not even be on as it appears it isn't always on :confused3....

From what I have seen it is facepaint rather than make-up. We enquired via email and got no reply, then saw that it was on when we went to Inventions, and I am sure the prices where cheaper than those below.

It is still in that place too.

We will get it for Rose next time, she loves face paint etc.

Our dd has had it done twice, when she was 4 and 5. She loved it, looked stunning it wasnt too much makeup it was tasteful and she got loads of attention. I highly recommend it.

You can book and pay in the disneyland hotel shop

MummyMinnie - your DD looked lovely in that link :lovestruc I see there is face paint as opposed to make up - looks really nice, wasn't sure what to expect!

Seems the packages have changed somewhat though!

Brightonbelle - if you do go for it, will you please let us know here how you get on? :)

Thank you and it is make up (mascara, blusher and lip gloss) as well as face paint for the flowers part, you have complete say on what you would like your daughter to have, those prices quoted above are from 2009 I didn't think they'd changed too much, you can ring or email for an updated price list and packages. It was a lovely treat for her birthday.

Thanks for all your replie.......

MummyMinnie...........
Wow What lovely pictures~your daughter looked very happy & relaxed & such a cutie, I love what they did with her hair. I like that they let you take some of your own photo's while she was being pampered~Thanks for sharing :)

My daughter is 8 & she is soooo looking forward to this treat, she opted to have a smaller Birthday party ( last Nov ) so that she could have this princess makeover, so looking at the prices I would probably have spent pretty much the same on a party, party bag's & extra cake.

The first thing I will do when we arrive is book it. :):):)

MummyMinnie has posted a link of her DD's makeover further up this thread if that is any help :confused3

Not sure if there is anything on the official site?

Hiya

I enquired about this for my daughter last August but I decided that she was too young so hopefully we can do it this year if we go!

I emailed DLP.DLH.BOUTIQUE@disney.com
& got this reply

'As you asked, we send you the price list of the Princess Makeover.
We propose differents packs: 40€ ( make-up and hairstyle), 60€ ( make-up+ hairstyle+ tiara+ photo), 130 € ( make-up+ hairstyle+ tiara+ wand+photo+ dress), 160€ ( make-up+ hairstyle+ tiara+ wand+photo+ frame+ dress+ set Figurine), 135€ Luxe Tiana ( make-up+ hairstyle+ tiara+ bag+ photo+ dress), 135€ Luxe Ariel mariée ( make-up+ hairstyle+ boa+ bunch of flowers+ photo+ dress).
The program is available from 3 to 12 years old

Unfortunaly we can't take any appointment by mail or by phone. To get an appointment you have to book it directly to the boutique the day you will arrive.
The appointments start from 9.00 AM till 4.30 PM. It takes between 20 and 25 minutes for each appointment (Make up and pictures).'

Hope this helps - I think the photos look lovely.:goodvibes
