DD was thinking of having a birthday party at Justice this year. I looked online and see what you get, etc, but was wondering how it works for cake and presents...can you do that there as well, or have to move to another location? If you've had a party there, how did it turn out? Thanks!

While DD hasn't had a party there, she has been to one, and according to her, you don't do cake or presents there. In this case, the girl was also having a slumber party, so they just did it at her home. I know she had a great time and has talked about wanting her own party there in August.

I have NOT been to one nor has my DD.

But a friends dd went and she hated it. There is no place for cake and ice cream. There is a lot of waiting around and the whole thing (in her opinion) was to try to get the kids to hustle their parents into buying them stuff.

My DD wanted one but she (and I ) decided against it.
Here were the reasons:

1) No place for cake/presents.
2) $25 per kid- minimum 5 kids. No discount for birthday person
3) Only an hour and half.
4) They do allow shoppers during the party and it isn't very exclusive.
5) Slight pressure for parents to "shop" during party

This would have been a splurge for me (I usually do home parties for about $50-75 or less) so DD didn't want to only invite four girls.

I also didn't want to pressure girls or girls parents to feel that they needed to buy something. For some of her friends (and me) full price Justice clothes are a splurge-- I only buy sale items there.

I would have had to had cake ice cream/then drive to Justice then have parents pick up at Justice... it didn't work too well..

So she is having more kids ( right now 8 girls have RSVP'd) at home for less money.

I looked at the party that was going on while we were shopping and it just didn't look all that fun. We won't have a party there but my daughter will be doing all her school shopping there, she loves the clothes there.
