Has anyone's child/children done the Pirate Adventure cruise from Port Orleans?

Hello. We will be in Disney this November. I just booked my daughter (9) on the Pirate Adventure Cruise that leaves from the Floridian. She did this 2 years ago and loved it so we are doing it again. However, I'm thinking of booking at the Port Orleans resort instead just to mix it up a little just to.make it a little different than the one she already did. Does anyone know if the Port Orleans Pirate Adventure is good?

Also, does anyone know what there is to do at Port Orleans for us parents who will have two hours free?

My kids did the Pirate a Cruise from POR three years ago when they were 7. They enjoyed it enough but my daughter was less thrilled. At the time they made 3 stops - French Quarter, Saratoga springs, and DTD. POR has really nice grounds so walking along the river and checking out both resorts would be nice. Stop by POFQ for beignets.

YES, our boys did it and L O V E D it !

They still talk about it, look at pictures from it, etc.

We thought it was a great value and would do it again

My boys loved the one from POR. We were staying at POFQ at the time we did it, so I think we just went back to the resort and relaxed for a bit while they were gone. There is a nice poolside bar and a restaurant at POR that would be worth sitting at or just taking a nice walk there - so pretty!

We've never done it but have it booked for our DS and DD (5&4) this summer. Glad to hear that is has been such a good experience for the PPs. As far as finding something to do, we'll be staying at the resort. I'm sure my wife and I will think of something to do with two hours sans kids.
