Has anyone ever rented fom National and just given them the Drivers License of the additional driver without him or her being in the car? We are doing DME but I am renting a car. My wife was going to go on the bus with the kids but, I want her to be put down as an additional driver.Has this been done or do I have to have her with at the time I get the car? Thanks for you replies.

Yes, I have done that with my wife's license. It was a couple of years ago though so maybe they have changed the rules. But National gave me no problem at the time.
