We HATE the taste of Disney water, it tastes/smells like Sulfur to me! We saw those new Brita bottles that filter your water and wondered if they worked with Disney's water. We always go to the grocery store and get bottled water, but if we don't have to....

Experiences, anyone????

I too wonder about this device. If it could make Orlando water taste good, that would truly be magic. I am skeptical but hopeful.

Yes, we use them every trip and it is honestly one of the first things that goes into our bags when we pack. It improves the taste of the water and works great. We pack them with ice cubes and then fill with water at the resort and refill throughout the day at the parks. I cannot say enough good things about them :thumbsup2

Jan-when you say "improves", does it remove the sulfur taste entirely?

TIA!

I would say it does. I am VERY fussy about the water that I drink and grew up with wonderful fresh, country well water and the water in Florida actually makes me sick. I think that once it goes through the Brita Bottle, it is as good as any other bottled water.

The Brita and other filtration bottles on the market use activated carbon to filter the water. That is what Brita pitchers and PUR facet attachments use, just bigger filters that handle more volume. Bottled water is also made much the same way, it is tap water that is then double filtered. The filters remove the smell and taste of normal tap water chemicals. They don't make water safer to drink, so always stick with a tap water source.

These handheld bottled filtered water devices work great for making the water taste great and refreshing, but be careful: it's not the same as actually purifying / sanitizing the water so don't go scooping water right out of the blue lagoon.:rotfl2:

We used these for our trip in June. It doesn't take the taste out entirely, but enough that we could drink the water with no problem. We would ask for cups of ice water and fill the bottles up so we were getting ice cold water. It saved us money and we didn't have to bring so many bottles into the park each day.

I use the bobble which is the same idea - but the filters are cheaper :)

Actually the brita filters are about half the price of the bobble. At target the bobble is 7.49 for one and the brita is 7.99 for two.

The good thing about the bobbles is that you replace the cap with the filter.

I bought a filtered Rubbermaid bottle that I found at my supermarket. Worked great on my trip.

I just bought a Brita Bottle ($9.99@Target) for our upcoming trip! I also bought an insulated bottle (Polar bottle $9.99@Dick's) and an Mister/Water bottle(02 cool-$10.99@Dick's)! My ds(14) likes the gatoraid packets in his water, so he has staked claim on the insulated bottle! I bought the mister bottle in a purplish color so to claim it as mine!:rotfl: So, dh will get the Brita bottle!:cool1: Can't wait to try them out!
