I am thinking that we will need a harness for our then to be 19 month olds trip. There is a pink purse harness at Walmart that is cute and was wondering if anyone had any reviews of it.

We have been trying to get her to hold hands when walking in public, but very hard. So we think a harness might help to add to everybody's sanity and safety!

we used a puppy one , our dd loves dogs.
it was GREAT we really were leary on using one we are not fond of the "leash" idea BUT we had a TON of compliments on it and it was a life saver. I am soooo glad we did it, I would do it again in a heart beat.

She did not like taking it off when we were in our room so it did not bother her at all to wear it. I will use it again if needed.

I have heard the purse one is cute, we did not have time to get one ordered by me so we went with the puppy.
Alot of people use them there ! I was worried I would not see anyone with one but I saw them everywere I went.
Get it and save yourself ALOT of headaches!OUr dd who is 2 walked more then she was in the stroller and she was happy so we all were happy then.

I have never liked the stigma that comes with them, but my dd will not stay in the stroller all day. So unless I want to chase her all around WDW, we better get one. Now that I am a parent, I can really tune other people out!!!

I thought it would really help when we are in lines too. She is at the point where she doesn't want to be held, so this would allow her some freedom.

Thanks for your input!

I picked up the monkey one at Walmart for $9.99. It was a godsend!

Although ds does look like he's wearing liederhosen in all our photos! :upsidedow

My DD is older than yours but we found a wrist strap that goes on her wrist and then on the adults wrist and it has a plastic coil between the two straps. This gave her some freedom but still kept her close.

I also hated the idea of the "leash". But DD is a runner! We also had a puppy harness that she loved -- she loved having her puppy "hugging" her around the park. Unfortunately, it was super hot, so it was a bit uncomfortable. So despite the dirty looks I got from some other parents, it was definately worth it.

okay, i just saw that you were specifically looking for reviews of the purse one. Sorry!!! I haven't used that one, but I just looked at it online and it looks adorable. It looks like something my DD would really like to wear now, so probably a good choice (and it's not a big hot plush thing on your pack).

we have a monkey one. my dd is old enough that i don't think she will need one, but if i were to buy a new one i would buy the purse. i think she would like being able to keep a few things in it to keep her occupied in the lines and stroller. the "backpack" ones really dont have a compartment that is big enough to put anything in.
