Has anyone used Perillo Tours? Need input

I posted on the Adventures by Disney board but have not gotten any feed back so I am hoping someone here might be able help.
My daughter graduates from college next May and her graduation present is going to be a trip for the two of us.
We had talked about Ireland, she was there last year and loved it, but then we sort of thought about going somewhere different.
Italy was one of the countries we'd both like to visit and a co-worker of mine had suggested Perillo Tours.
They also have trips to Hawaii which would be neat too.
Perillo tours are certainly cheaper than ABD or Tauck but I was wondering if anyone on the boards has used them for trips and can give me an idea of the quality of the hotels and their tours.

My mother did the Hawaii Perillo tour a couple of years ago and absolutely LOVED it. The hotels were very nice! (She is a hotel snob) She said everything ran very smoothly and she would do it again in a heartbeat! Hope this helps.

It's nice that you want to give her a trip for the 2 of you, but if you change your mind and want to send her on a trip on her own, look into Contiki tours. It's designed for young adults 18-30somethings. On most of the European tours, the average age is towards the younger side. I went on one for my first trip to Europe and had a blast.

We did the Hawaii tour with Perillo for our honeymoon (but plenty of different ages on the tour). We loved it. We saw EVERYTHING, wonderful hotels, food, activities. We have friends that did Hawaii on there own a month before us and paid way more than we did (at the time) and didn't see all we saw.

Thank you for you quick replies. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii,
Friends of ours used Tauck Tours for their Hawaiian vacation and were wowed by the accomodations. Their tours are just so pricey though. I do not want to do cheap cheap, but I do not want the most expensive either.
So much to think about.

This is certainly something to keep in mind for the future. I really want to tag along though. My husband won't fly so this trip is a good excuse to go somewhere nice and not have to go by myself.

Definitely go. I think it's awesome. I would love to have taken a trip with my mom somewhere in Europe, but she doesn't do touring very well. But don't be surprised if she gets bit with the travel bug. Which is why if you want to send her back, keep Contiki tours in mind, it definitely makes it easier for someone who has never traveled alone before, and since there are lots of solo travelers, she wouldn't be the only one either.

When I was a travel agent, I sold lots of Perillo Italy. I have no experience with their Hawaii program but if the quality is the same, do it.

Look at the itinerary with Perillo, the hotels, etc and then price it out to see which is better. Hawaii is a destination that you can easily do without a tour. Planning is half of the fun. Rental cars are readily available and usually affordable if you plan ahead. Compare hotels, look for deals and you might do better.
