Has anyone used the MCO Reserve system that allows you to reserve a time for going through Security? If so, did you have any problems?

I recall an older thread about that when it first started. Seem to recall it was being tried in a few cities. Never used it myself but seems like instead of standing in line, people would simply be milling around the security area until their designated time. I have TSA-precheck which works great and you tend to have people in that line familiar with the process so things tend to move faster.

Traveling with 7 other people that don't have pre-check, so that won't be an option. My group will include 3 children under 5 so I would love to be able to book a time to go through security rather than standing in the long line at MCO.
reserve.clearme.com is the website

I could only find one other person on a prior thread that thought it worked OK when it first started. Their point was that as more people find out about it and start using it, the actual advantage could be less since it will be more crowded.

We used it last August. It’s was quick and without issues. If I remember correctly the last appointment is at 10:45am but I believe you can be 20 minutes earlier/later than you appointment time. I plan on using it again this year.

We used it Saturday after Thanksgiving and it saved us so much time. It took us longer to find where it was located than to get through security! We had 2 adults and 2 kids.

We used it last year and thought it was great! We saved a lot of time using it. We plan to use it again for our trip in June.

My friend and I travelled home from MCO last Saturday. I have TSA Pre-check and she signed up for the free Clear timeslot. We both entered our security lines at the same time (~ 2:50 pm). I was through TSA Pre-check pretty quickly and waited for her for ~ 20 minutes until she was through. She said that there were several wheelchair passengers and families with strollers that took quite a bit of additional time. I am so glad that my family signed up for TSA Pre-check last September when we arrived at MCO. $85 for five years is a complete bargain!
