my wife and i are returning to WDW in Feb. 2010 and i was reading in the Unofficial Guide about Garden Grocer and how you can order online before your trip and have groceries delivered to your resort.
we will be at WDW for eight days, and on the last trip we took (March 2009), we found that after 3 or 4 days of "dining, dining, dining", it was just a bit too much.
so i was thinking about ordering some groceries ahead of time, especially since more than one sit down meal a day leaves us both too stuffed to really enjoy touring the parks.
we usually wake up early, get to a park at opening, have a sit down lunch, then return to the resort in the early afternoon. we park hop to a different park around 5 or so, and then stay until that park closes.
i'm thinking that using Garden Grocer would save us not only money, but also give us the option of eating in our room after a long day touring.
can anyone share their experiences with using Garden Grocer? are they good about keeping their delivery time? how did having food choices in the room affect your overall trip?
on our last trip, we stayed at CB and a lot of nights we ended up in the food court spending money on food that we really were not into, but didn't want to go to sleep on an empty stomach.
i'm thinking that if we used Garden Grocer, i could budget more money to use for sit down lunches during our stay. we have never gone to a resort for lunch, but i have ADR's already made for several resorts for lunch, so that we can see some of the resorts that we have never been to.
for those of you who used Garden Grocer, did you order too much food? or too little?
any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
