Has anyone used Dreams Unlimited to book?

I booked my first cruise through them, due to their sponsership of these boards. They were wonderful!! We had our second cruise booked through them, but our prefered TA left. I heard about All Seas travel through these boards and decided to check them out, since I didn't like the TA we were assigned after my original one left. They were offing a SIGNIFICANT discount off Dream's prices and since I wasn't happy, I booked with them. They have been as GREAT as Dreams was with my first booking. I would recommend Dreams as I had no problems with them the first time around, even the second time was fine, but I missed my old TA.

We used DU for our upcoming cruise ... 16 days 13 hours 25 mins... but who's counting !!!:teeth:

They were great, had a rebate and took care of all the details and questions that I had.

I am hoping I am not opening a can of worms for DU, but my sailing had a port fee increase. I had just made full payment when I got the notification from DU. I responded asking how much I owe them for the fee increase. The response... don't worry about it, just enjoy the cruise... now that's service!!!!

Hi! We booked our 7th cruise through DU because of such a great price for the New Year's Eve 2003 cruise and our TA we usually use just couldn't meet the price.

The TA assigned to us was not helpful - probably because I knew as much as she did! When I called to make final payment they waited an extra week to apply the payment - i didn't understand that.

BUT, then they really disappointed me. I made our reservations 13 months in advance and wanted early seating. This was fine - it showed up on all confirmations. We got a our docs and I guess we were so excited we didn't see the mistake until 2 days before our cruise that we had been assigned LATE seating. After numerous phone calls between DU, Disney and me they said nothing could be done at that late date and we would have to change it when we got there. I understood that nothing could be done - hey, we were 48 hours from sailing. Well, we get down there and checked in and lo and behold on our key was early seating!!! We were doing the happy dance. So, I don't know if Disney or DU was fibbing about us being at late seating but all I can say is watch them and check over everything when it arrives!!

DU did send us 2 Disney watches when we arrived back home - which was a very nice gesture. I would just watch them very closely!

Hope this helps-
Jean

We used them the first cruise when we did our land/sea and it was a GREAT experience! Misti was our agent and she handled the whole thing wonderfully and to top it off she was even able to get us the coveted Cinderella's Castle Breakfast! When you do land/sea with them the agents help you plan out your days and give you park schedules and will help you with PS.

We used them again for just the 7 day cruise portion of the trip and again they were wonderful! I wouldnt hesitate going with them again!! They were prompt in our quote and prompt in every other way! They answered my questions and gave me the rebate's and stateroom credit for each room! Very nice and efficient! We have used cruise.com in the past and they were good but we used them for other lines not Disney! I would say Dreams is the easiest to work with at least from our perspective.

DU can't beat out Bill at cruisetraveloutlet.com in prices, so when I cruise on cash only, I use him.

I don't get "gifts" but the 7% rebate makes up for it!!!!

this is the second time we have used them last year we went for 9 day to wdw stayed at the contemporary resort . they got me upgraded to the tower from the garden view. we are now doing the 7 day western in july had a problem my group was split some had first seating the other had late i was trying for weeks to get them off the wait list but disney would not do anything. so i call donna and told her the problem and she said i will call you back, in 10 min she called and she talked to the assigner for dinning and my group was all put onto the main seating.she was great when we go to disney next year i will be using dreams again.

 Thank you for your help. I'm just about to book and Dreams seems very helpful so far, plus they quoted me about $300 dollars less than All Seas Travel quoted me! :yo-yo: ::yes::

We used DU for our cruise 4 weeks ago(Wonder). We have also re-booked with DU for next Feb also. We rented our DVC points and paid cash through DU for next years cruise.

We've used DU for our last two cruises and our upcoming cruise in Oct. Everything was handled well for us. They were always quick to reply to a question or problem. However, since we live in FL, we did not have any tranfers to worry about.
Hope you have a great trip, whomever you choose.

We have used DU for 3 cruises so far. I have another booked with DCL and will transfer that to DU as soon as the 2005 dates open up. They are always very responsive.

NYGiantsRule!, I love that DISname!

Another happy DU customer here. We're 2 for 2 with Dreams. They have always been very responsive to us.

The bottom line is to do your research. One agency may have a better price for a given cruise and another agency might be cheaper another week. Sometimes you may get a rebate and/or onboard credit, too. And you will certainly have lots of references from this board.

Good luck...and enjoy your cruise!

I've used DU three times, one for our Wonder cruise in 2002, one for a stay at WDW and now for our upcoming 7 night.

I've booked during promotions for the cruises and have received stateroom credits and instant rebates and have been unable to find lower rates.

When I e-mail DU, I have always gotten a very prompt response even with a change in travel agents. One day I couldn't get into my account on the web and John took the better part of the same day to figure it out.

I'm also going to use FLTours because of their recommendation.

I've been very happy with them.

We used Dreams for our second 7-night Magic cruise and our 4-night Wonder cruise. Donna is fantastic!!! Very helpful, and always quick to respond to e-mails.

The only thing I didn't like was that for our first cruise there was a chance we were going to have to cancel, because of my Dad's health, and when I asked Cathy about the travel insurance we had purchased through Dreams she told me I would have to call to find out the answer. As our Dreams TA, I thought SHE should have already known the answer, or if not, then SHE should have been the one to make the call to find out and THEN call ME with the answer. I just thought that kind of thing was part of a TA's job so I was a little upset that I had to make the call myself.

Heck I boked dierectly through Disney last time and when I called with a question about canceling Matt and if the travel insurance would cover it they just gave me a number and told me I would have to call myself to find out. Since the insurance is a totally different company even Disney makes you call yourself and find out.

We've used Dreams for both cruise and land based vacations and they have been fantastic. I had a request the other day and when I left the e-mail I got an e-mail back from our agent stating they were away and gave a redirecting e-mail. That one was answered quickly and efficiently. It seems to me that Dreams is really team based and if your agent leaves or is not available someone else is right there to help out.

I have used them twice, and will transfer the cruise I booked on board to them, they were terrific.
They took care of booking my excursions, as I was out the country on the dates we could start booking them, the payments goes directly to DCL not them, so you are sure that your cruise has been paid for, and their prices are great.

I booked through them for this cruise (#2)~I had found out about them through these boards. However, I haven't had much contact with them. We paid through the site and I haven't actually talked personally with any TA there.

However, I recently had a question about dining and I emailed them and received NO RESPONSE whatsoever.

That's left me feeling alittle bit bad about the ressie with them.
