Has anyone used Coupon Sense?

I have tried to use coupons in the past, but did not have the patience or time. We are desperately in need of reducing our household/grocery budget if I want to continue with my Disney habit. I thought I would try couponing again and came across this service that seems to reduce the amount of time of using coupons. Has anyone used Coupon Sense and what are your thoughts?

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I just checked it out a bit, I use the Grocery Game, and I like the Grocery Game better- although to be fair I've never used this one. I think it also would depend on whether you live in one of the Coupon Sense premium states or not, and even if you do it looks like it may not always be accurate which defeats the purpose. I would check out the Grocery Game too and see what you think - you can try theirs for free.

Good luck!

When I first started couponing I used Grocery Game. It's worth the money, especially if you are new to the extreme type of couponing.

But if you have some experience, there are lots of good free sites. I like Krazy Coupon Lady, Coupon Mom, I love Wags and Hot Coupon World (which is a message board).

I would recommend something like Coupon Sense if you are new. Start saving your WHOLE Sunday paper insert(s) for a few weeks before signing up so you will have a mass of coupons to work with.

Once you're a little more comfortable with coupons, the terminology, printable coupons, etc., you can probably use something free. Many states have local bloggers who do match-ups between coupons and sales, alert you to deals, etc. using your local stores. I'd Google "coupon blog (your state)"

I paid for Coupon Sense when I got re-energized to use more coupons a couple years ago, in part because I could get a great newspaper rate with extra Sunday papers only through Coupon Sense. Now I have a set of local and national "money saver" bloggers that I follow through Google Reader to look for sales and deals.

Good luck! I think you have to treat couponing like a part-time job and be prepared to put some time and work into it, whatever method you use.

p.s. For a great deal blog that's Disney focused, be sure to check out Couponing to Disney!

I have used CouponSense for several years now and absolutely love it! I am in Arizona, which is where they started, but they are now national. I get 3 Sunday papers, through a discount that CS has worked out with the AZ Republic. I don't think I could do what they do on my own, without it taking several hours, so I greatly appreciate the time and effort they put into giving us all the information we need each week. They also have a blog and message boards. I looked at some of the other ones, like the Grocery Game, but since none of the others are specifically tailored to AZ, it makes it more difficult. Even when ordering coupon inserts online because I was on vacation is not much help, they don't have the same coupons we have here. Must be a regional thing. I was skeptical at first, but once I did it for about a month, I was hooked. I think there's a reduced rate to try it out, which I definitely recommend! For me, it's much easier to understand than any of the other websites/blogs out there for that specific purpose.
