On the Theme Parks board I just read about a ticket vendor I have not used before, Parksavers. Parksavers has a great deal on a 7 day hopper. https://parksavers.com/product/adult-7-day-myw-park-hopper-ticket-3-days-free/ DH and I need to buy new DVC gold annual passes. I noticed that the Parksaver tickets say they are valid through Dec. 31, 2018. I have never seen this expiration date issue before. It won't affect us, since we would use them this October but it makes me wonder if these tickets have some other restrictions, like not being able to "bridge" them. Has anyone upgraded a Parksavers hopper ticket to a DVC annual pass?

I was reading one of those threads yesterday. They are an authorized broker and from several reports on that thread people can and have bridged. Being they are authorized there isn't really any reason to suspect you couldn't.

The voucher is apparently just for picking up tickets so it seems that unlike some other brokers such as UCT they do not send out physical tickets. But they do provide a number that you can link to your MDE profile and reports were that if you did that then no expiration of any sort applied.

My overall understanding is that they also work in conjunction with Expedia whom I also think has long used the vouchers. You will get a number to link though. I'm considering a purchase myself.

Thanks, Kathy. I have always used Undercover Tourist for tickets or bought DVC annual passes directly but this is such a good deal on a 7 day hopper that I think I should give Parksavers a try. I started reading more on the Theme Parks board after I started this thread and someone posted that you do not need to use the Parksavers ticket first to get the "bridged" price, but that does not seem correct to me. I think if I buy these we will just use them at least once before "bridging" just to be on the safe side.
P.S. Sure do miss Cheshire Figment.

I was surprised to read that too! My impression is that they were saying the ticket CM's are apparently able to bridge any of the tickets, even UCT, without being used which is of course different than what we've been taught over the years. There wouldn't be anything hurt by using them first and I'd also be inclined to continue doing that too. ::yes::

I'm still undecided on what to do. I started a poll on this a couple days ago...surprised there hasn't been more input yet....

I've reported on other threads. We've used UT in the past & also activated it once before switching to the traditional DVC AP. Worked like a charm back in 2012.

Also Robo stated in the other thread that it is not necessary to do this anymore..( Activating it I mean ) I'm still going to do this but, was told by others it's definitely not needed.

And also we did purchase the 7 day tix, at an incredible price..$75 savings for each of our 4. & we linked it on MDE in a week or so...Soo Easy.

I called Park Savers last week and asked a few questions. She said that the vouchers say Dec. 2018 but really there is no expiration. They are just like the regular park hopper you would buy from Disney. She also said that the reason they put the box where you put when you are activating them is for them so that they get the email vouchers to the person in time. She also said that their calendar only goes thru this year for the activation date but that box DOES NOT MEAN you have to activate them on that date or that if you put Dec. 31st of this year that you could not use them next year or two years from Dec. 31st.

Just decided today that we will be upgrading to AP on this trip b/c we'll be returning for Princess Half Marathon in Feb. Have 10 day PH now (from Parksavers, already linked to our ressies) for August trip; can upgrade for about $100. Can't wait to give my DD the news!

If we bridge in advance (assuming that's possible), can we wait until our first day there to activate? I don't want it starting any earlier!

I just got back from my trip today. I bought Park Savers Tickets about 5 days before I left. They take a few days to send you the number to link to MDE. I used two days first (but I've been told you don't have to). I upgraded to my gold pass at the guest relations desk at Hollywood studios. It took about 10 minutes. Very painless. She also gave us annual pass cards that we could use for the discount.

Make sure to bring you member ID and drivers license.

The buy 4 get 3 free deal ended yesterday... :(

Yes, I read in another thread that Expedia (their supplier) has given them another large amount of the 4+3 tickets :)

Yippeeee!!!! Now I need to talk to DH about it before I lose out again!!!! :hyper2: THANKS!!! I thought all was lost!!!

Don't forget to add the coupon code: DISNEYTOURISTBLOG for an add'l $2 off each!

OK, just bought 3. When I tried to talk to DH and explain he glossed over so I just made the excutive decision to do it!

I was a little confused about "person redeeming". I was expecting they were going to ask for the names of everyone I was buying them for? But so I just put myself. Hope that was the right guess?!

Can you add water parks to these later?? My friends wants to know?????

You can upgrade tickets to add the water parks.

Or, if your friend doesn't need 7 days they have a 5 day hopper plus water parks that has almost exactly the same savings over the gate price.

Thanks so much. Yes she said she will get the 7 days and upgrade them on her trip. :)
