I have more knowlege of WDW than anyone I know, but certainly not more than the people on here. I was wondering if anybody turned their interest into a career? If so what type of career any how'd ya' do it?

There are several people here that are or have been cast members in some way shape or form. Ferepeg works as in the florist shop having had a hobby turned business of making gift baskets. Now she does it for Disney.

Actually, I am no longer with the Disney Florist. It was interesting, but not what I thought it would be. Too much of an assembly line process and not enough opportunity to be creative.

To answer the OP's question. I did have a gift basket business for four years making gift baskets and delivering them to WDW guests. In some ways, it was a lot of fun and did allow me to be creative. Unfortunately, it was a money losing business. I just could not charge enough to offset the amount of time it took me to do everything for the business.

I'd love to do something else relating to Disney, but it isn't easy. Between their copyright restrictions and the way they have tied up their merchandise so that it is not possible for a small business person to get things wholesale, it makes it very difficult.

I so admire your attempt at your business! I understand how hard it must be.

I would LOVE to turn my passion for Disney into something that made some money. DH tells me I need to move all the time and apply...:goodvibes
