I am looking in to ordering a DVD of Yoga Booty Ballet but I don't
know what it all about. Has anyone tried this??

Thanks

I got my DVD's about 2 weeks ago and I love it so far. I think I enjoy is because I danced for 20+ years so I find myself "going back in time" and doing what I loved! That being said, I would think that it may be a bit challenging at first for those that are not used to the form. It is a great workout. I have only done the first DVD so far. I found that after a few times I did not really enjoy the "breathing" section and prefer my 5 minute "hip hop ab" DVD more enjoyable/intense than the ab section on booty ballet.

All in all I really like this and find it very enjoyable which is a HUGE plus when working out!! I would say give it a shot...if you do not like it you can always return and get money back.

I'm about 130 pounds overweight and need something that I can do being this big. I am looking for something to keep my interest so that I will continue it. I wish there was somewhere that I could watch a few minutes of it to what kind of moves are involved!

Well from the video I have done I can tell you this:

There is a warm up that is as easy/hard as you want to make it.

There is a "ballet" section that is all leg lifts....if you find it hard to balance on your own, you can always hold onto a chair etc. Very good work out!

There is a cardio section that has a lot of plie's (bending the knees) which can be tough but rewarding!

Then the breathing/stretching that I do not care for but that is just a personal opinion. In the sceme of "yoga" it is a very important part of the workout as it not only has to do with your body but also the mind.

Onto the abs...very good workout however I personally prefer a more upbeat way of doing "crunches" which is why i absolutley love "hip hob abs"..fun and quick!

Last but not least...stretching! Nice way to end the program...then there is the "yoga" time....which is a very "calm" time. It is very peaceful and if you can "give" yourself to what they are saying/doing then you will truly benefit! I actually found myself having tears roling down my face a few times! I can not explain but it is some type of "release" if you truly do it. A great body and mind workout!

Hope this helps!

Last week I bought a 2 disc set of Yoga Booty Ballet at Target. I've only done the ab disc which I found just challenging enough that I want to do it again and again to improve. I haven't done the core disc yet so I can't comment on it. I'm not sure if this is the same set as you're looking at purchasing or not. The Yoga Booty Ballet set I got at Target was $16.99.
