Has anyone tried to upgrade a No Expiration Ticket Recently?

I am wondering if anyone has tried since the No Expiration tickets have been eliminated. We have 8-day no expiration tickets (with WP option) purchased from UT about 2 years ago. We were hoping to upgrade them to APs. Has anyone tried this?

I think we paid about $560 per ticket. The "Disney" value before they were eliminated was higher than that. Does anyone think they will allow this? If so, how should I go about doing it? What might Disney value the ticket at? I don't know how they would bridge since it is no longer a product they sell.

Thoughts?

My GUESS is that they will allow the upgrade.
In the upgrade transaction, they might only give you the value of what Disney was charging for the tickets on the date that you purchased them from UT.

Was it originally an 8 day ticket or did you use some days already? If you have used the tickets you had to upgrade within 14 days of first use and before all entitlements were used up. If they have never been used you should be able to upgrade.

I expect you'll be able to upgrade to an existing product. The difficult upgrade would be adding features to a product that no longer exists.

Since you will be at the mercy of the CM with whom you are doing the upgrade, I
can't say what to expect.

I can say that in order to get close to something that would be price bridging, you would need to use
the tickets to go into a theme park before doing the upgrade.
They should then, at least, treat the tickets as though you had purchased them from DISNEY,
and give you the amount that you would have paid at the park gates on the date that you actually bought from UT.

I'd hope that they would give you more value than that (as in the highest price Disney was charging on the last date that they sold Non-Expiring) but, that may be too much to expect.

Be sure to post back and let us know the outcome.
