I thought I had read that someone did this. Our situation is that we will be at Universal until after our passes expire on 8/14/06. Has anyone heard of extending the expiration date without actually renewing the pass? If it turns out I cannot do that, is it possible to renew now for the $99? DH and I just reviewed the calander about an hour ago and the AP office is closed for the evening.

I know I can buy the buy 2, get 3 free for $99, but if I can get another year for the same price I might as well do that.

I'm confused. When is your AP supposed to expire? You can renew up to 30 days before or 30 days after expiration for $99. You can't extend your AP renewal date.

Our Ap's expire on 8/14. Looking at the calander and other FL obligations we will arrive at Universal either on 8/14 (but/for AP issue, this is best case scenario) or on 8/12 and stay until 8/16. See the problem? If I can't extend the expiration date--and I think I have heard of someone doing this once upon a time, then if I wait until 7/14 to renew, I am concerned that the $99 offer renewal won't exist. In which case plan C is a buy 2, get 3 pass, but I don't know how much longer that "limited time" offer will be available either.

The AP renewal rate will always be cheaper than buying a 2 day ticket. I wouldn't worry about waiting. If it does go up, it won't go up much.

As fas as extending the AP expiiration date, there have been exception but not just because you vacation was planned for a later date.
