Has anyone transferred from a non-DVC hotel to DVC?

Can they still transfer the luggage for you?
Can they link the two reservations?
I"m thinking of the AKL-savannah view since the AP codes came out.

You definately can transfer luggage...not sure about linking the ressie or why it would matter

Linking the reservations is usually to request that you not have to move rooms. Since you are switching resorts, you'll obviously switch rooms!

Linking the reservations actually used to be a big deal with the Unlimited Magic Passes (formerly known as Length of Stay passes) because people who wanted UMPs wanted to count their whole trip as one vacation and thus benefit from one long UMP rather than 2 shorter (and more expensive) ones.

If it's 2 Disney hotels, they'll transfer luggage. We have gone form Coronado Springs to OKW and they have transferred luggage no problem.

We transfered our luggage between POP and OKW with no problems.

I did it the other way around this past Nov, went from BCV to AS (what a let down) just ran out of points and wanted to stay the weekend.
They transferred luggage no problems.
Doing it again this Nov, starting at CBR to BCV, I hope they will still be transferring luggage then.

9th trip home coming up this Saturday 3/12 to 3/18 at BCV, praying for good weather particularlly here so our flight isn't delayed or worst cancelled.
